The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be looking to right the ship against the Geneseo State Knights as they come in losing their last two games. Although the game would not start off very well for the Cardinals as would be trailing the Knights 23-2 after the first quarter. The Cardinals would start to get their shot going in the second quarter but it still wouldn't be enough as the Knights have a 28-11 quarter and take a 51-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned to the court for the third quarter the teams would be a lot more equal as the Knights would have the slim 16-15 advantage in the quarter and take the 67-28 lead into the 4th quarter. In the fourth, the teams would have their second strings out there in mop-up efforts and the Knights would have the 17-6 edge as they would get the 84-34 victory. In a losing effort for the Cardinals, Izzy Wilbur would lead the way for the Cardinals with 12 points as they go to 6-11 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would finish off the weekend by welcoming the #2 Genesseo State Knights into the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena for a SUNYAC off a successful night the previous night bidding for the upset. The game would start off good for the upset minded Cardinals as they would get the opening goal of the game with 4:15 left in the first period on the Cory Doney goal and the 1-0 lead. Although the lead would short lived as the Knights would tie the game just 52 seconds into the second period on the power play goal from Matthew Doran. The game would stay there all the way til the 4:28 mark of the third period when the Knights take the lead at 2-1 on the Morgan Peter goal. Although the Cardinals would not give up the fight and would get the tying goal with the extra man with just 25 seconds left in the game. The teams would head to the overtime and play three on three and there would be no decider and the game would end in a 2-2 tie. Jacob Hearne would make 35 saves on the night as the Cardinals go to 3-1-2 on the season. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be back in action as they would host the Geneseo State Knights in doubleheader SUNYAC Softball action. The first game of the doubleheader would not start off good for the Cardinals as they would give up a rbi double in the first inning and trail 1-0. Then in the third inning, the Knights would score another three runs led by Schwartz 2 rbi triple, and make it a 4-0 game. Then in the fifth inning, the Cardinals would get on the board with a pair of runs led by Langdon rbi single and make it a 4-2 game. In the sixth inning, the Knights would take control of the game with three runs lead by Schmitz 2 rbi double, and make it a 7-2 game. In the seventh inning just add insurance on the game the Knights would get another three runs to get the 10-2 win. Then it would be onto game two of the doubleheader and it would start off good for the Cardinals as they would get a rbi double in the first by Maggiacom for the 1-0 lead. The Knights would battle back and tie the game at one on an error. Then in the fourth inning, the Cardinals would regain the lead at 2-1 on a sacrifice fly. Then in the fifth inning, the Knights would score four runs as they take the 5-2 lead led by Riccardi 2 rbi single. Then in the sixth, the Knights would add another run on the Schwartz rbi double for the 6-2 lead. Then in the bottom of the inning, the Cardinals would cut the lead in half at 6-4 on the Torres 2 rbi single. Then in the seventh inning, the Knights would put the final touches on the game with a rbi single by Kersch for the 7-4 win. In the losing effort, the Cardinals fall to 8-12 on the season. Gallery

It would be the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and the Geneseo Knights in Men's SUNYAC Basketball action from the Plattsburgh State Memorial Hall. It would be a tight game throughout with both teams having their chance to breakout but just couldn't and the Knights would have the slim 37-35 lead at the end of the first half. When the teams returned for the second half it would be more of the same although the Knights would just be a little better with a 28-27 half and secure the 65-62 victory. Leading the way in a losing effort for the Cardinals would be Etik Salo with 18 points as they go to 2-20 on the season. It would be a matchup at Plattsburgh State's Memorial Hall as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Geneseo State Knights in Women's SUNYAC Basketball action. It would be a low-scoring slow start to the game as the visiting Knights would have the 9-6 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the offensive would start to come and the Cardinals would lead the quarter 13-8 and take the slim 19-17 lead into the intermission. When the teams came back for the third quarter it would be the same the defenses would be on display with the Knights winning the quarter 15-12 and taking the slim 32-31 lead into the final quarter. In that final quarter, the Knights would just shut down the Cardinals with a 13-3 quarter and win the game 45-34. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 7-15 on the season as Kayla Doddy would lead the way with ten points and they are back in action February 12th against the Brockport State Eagles. Gallery

It would be the first SUNYAC game of the second half of the season as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #2 Geneseo State Knights. The #2 wouldn't wait long as they jump out to a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the game on the Domenic Garozzo goal. The Knights would extend their lead to 2-0 at the 9:50 mark n a powerplay goal from Justin Cmunt. Then just 25 seconds later Adam Tretowicz would get the Cardinals on the board and make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would keep fighting and tie the game up at two on the Paul Bryer goal at the 14:39 mark. Although with just 12 seconds left in the first period the Knights Dan Bosio would score to make it a 3-2 game. That is where the game would stay all the way till the 3:33 mark of the third period when the Cardinals Trey Thomas would tie the game up at three. The Knights would fight back and regain the lead at 8:30 of the period on Peter Morgan's powerplay goal. Then at the 12:18 mark, the Knights would make it a two-goal game on Domenic Garozzo second goal of the game at 5-3. Then with under a minute left in the game, the Knights Domenic Garozzo would finish off the hat trick night with an empty netter in a 6-3 game.
