It would be a nonleague matchup at the Plattsburgh State Fieldhouse Soccer/Lacrosse Complex as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Clarkson Golden Knights in Women's Lacrosse. The first quarter of the game would not go well for the Cardinals as they would be down 7-2 with the lone goals for the Cardinals would come from Fiona Fitzgerald and Caroline Noia while scoring for the Golden Knights would be Madelynn Barnum (four), Hailey Millington (twice) and Sofie Mangino. In the second quarter, the Golden Knights would put the game out of reach with a 7-0 quarter and take the 14-2 lead at the break scoring for the Golden Knights would be Mia Petrone, Julia Lavarnway (three), Sydney Roderick, Madelynn Barnum (fifth) and Grace Hagberg. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Golden Knights would let off the gas with a 3-0 quarter and take the 17-2 into the fourth on goals from Julia Lavarnway (fourth) Hailey Millington(third) and Sydney Roderick (second). In the fourth quarter with the game in hand, the Cardinals would actually get the quarter 3-1 on goals from Rachel LaMar, Caroline Noia (second), and Maddy Garcia while Julia Patterson would score for the Golden Knights for the 18-5 victory. The Golden Knights' netminders would combine for five saves as they go to 6-0 while the Cardinals combine for 18 saves as they go to 1-3 on the season. Gallery

#2 Clarkson Golden Knights Vs #3 Harvard Crimson ECAC Hockey Division 1 Men's Hockey Semi-finals March 18th 2022

Clarkson's Ethan Haider (47) extends the pad out for the save on the Harvard shot in close as part of a 29 save effort. It would be semi-final game number 2 and #2 Clarkson Golden Knights would take on the #3 Harvard Crimson as the Knights would look to retain their title in Lake Placid as they won the last tournament before the shutdown of Covid-19 back in 2019. The game would start off good for the upset minded Crimson as they would get the opening goal from Sean Farrell at the 8:20 mark of the first period. Although the Knights would not end the period quietly as they would get the equalizer with just over five minutes left in the period on the Alex Campbell powerplay goal. The game would stay there till the 10:59 mark of the second period when the Crimson would regain the lead at 2-1 on the Nick Abruzzese goal. Although the Golden Knights would tie the game back up again just two minutes later on the goal by Alex Campbell for the second time on the night and both on the powerplay. Then with just over three minutes left in the period the Golden Knights would get there first lead of the game on the Zach Tsekos goal and make it 3-2 Golden Knights leaded headed to the third period. Although the lead would be short lived as the Crimson would tie game up at the 4:23 mark of the period on Nick Abruzzeses second goal of the game. Then with just under five minutes left in the game the Crimson would take the lead for the third and final time on the night on the Matthew Coronato goal at 4-3 and would also add the empty netter in the closing seconds of the game. In the winning effort the Harvard Crimson advance to the ECAC Hockey Championship against the #1 Quinnipiac Bobcats and Mitchell Gibson would make 24 saves on the night while Clarkson's Ethan Haider would make 29 saves in the losing effort. SUNYAC Men's Lacrosse Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Clarkson Golden Knights March 27 2013

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celeberate on the feild as Brett McClelland gets the game winner in overtime. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would fellow north country foe the Clarkson Golden Knights in non conference action. The game would be stragertic match up as both were looking for the edge throughout the game. The Cardinals would take 1-0 lead at the 6 minute mark of the 1st quarter of Joey Kramer's goal. The Golden Knights would tie it up at the 10 minute mark of the first quarter on Mark Nortz's goal. Then just 30 seconds the Cardinals would regain h lead on Brendan Damm's goal to make it 2-1. The Golden Knights would tie the game back up with two minutes left in the first on Jeff Sceria's goal to make it 2-2 after one. Three minutes into the second the Cardinals take the lead back on Tom Duggan's goal at 3-2. The just a minute later the Golden Knights tie it back up at 3-3 on Jack Dowst's goal. The Golden Knights would take there first lead of the game at the 7:30 mark of the second quarter on Brendon Sherin's goal and take the 4-3 lead into halftime. The Cardinals would tie it back up just two minutes into the third period on Joey Lramer's second goal of the night. Then with under 5 minutes left in the third Brett McClelland would score to regain the Cardinals lead at 5-4. Then Brett McClelland would strike again just 1:30 for his on the day and make it 6-4 Cardinals. The Golden Knights Mark Notz would score his second of the night 2:30 into the fourth to make it 6-5. Then with just over 5 minutes left the Golden Knights would tie the game at 6 on Corey Herrington's goal. With just over three minutes left the Cardinals regain the lead on Tim Lawerence's goal at 7-6. The Golden Knights would tie it right back up on Brendon Sherin's second goal of the game to force overtime. In the overtime Brett McClelland would send the home team and crowd home happy with the game winner at 2:09 of overtime for the hat trick on the day. In the winning effort Cardinals goalie Gordie Gehring would make 11 saves as the Cardinals go to 8-1 on the season. The Cardinals return to conference play March 30th against #1 Cortland State. The game would not start good for the home Cardinals as they would trail 4-1 after the first quarter with the lone goal coming from Daniel Bonafede. In the second quarter, the Cardinal would find there offense although it still wouldn't be enough as they lose the quarter 6-4. Scoring for the Cardinals would be Kieran Rowley, and Dillon Smith (three) and trail 10-5 at the break. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses on both teams would take control of the game as it would be 4-1 Knights in the half with the lone cardinal foal from Robert Braceland as the Cardinals fall 15-6. As the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights would host the #13 Arizona State Sun Devils in the first of a pair of games on the weekend in front of 2900 fans. As the #7 Clarkson Golden Knights would host the #13 Arizona State Sun Devils in the first of a pair of games on the weekend in front of 2900 fans. The game would start off good for the home Golden Knights as they would take the quick 1-0 lead three minutes into the game on a goal from Anthony Romano. Clarkson's Anthony Romano (29) comes charging in with the defender on his hip and flips the backhander on net. The #7 Clarkson Golden Knights would host the Princeton Tigers at the Cheel Arena in ECAC Hockey in front of just over 2100 fans in a rematch of the 2018 ECAC Championship. The home Golden Knights would get the opening goal of the game on the powerplay from Haralds Egle at the 9:39 mark of the first period. The game would stay right there till inside the final three minutes of the second period when the Tigers would tie the game at 1 on a goal by Liam Grande. The Golden Knights would keep fighting and take the lead back at the nine minute mark of the third period on the Adam Tisdale goal to make it 2-1. From there the Golden Knights defense would step up and they would hold on for the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort Frank Marotte would make 23 saves as they go to 14-4-2 and will look to finish off the weekend sleep against the Quinnipac Bobcats. Gallery
