It would be senior night at Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the Plattsburgh Hornets would honor their seniors before there game against the Saranac Chiefs in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action. When the game would get underway it would start off good for the home Hornets as Seamus Andrews would light the lamp at the 9:52 mark to give the Hornets the 1-0 lead. Although with just under two minutes left in the period the Chiefs would answer back and tie the game at 1 on the Autin Carpenter goal. In the second period, the Hornets would fight back and take the one-goal lead back at 2-1 with just over four minutes left as Seamus Andrews would strike for his second of the game. Although the Chiefs wouldn't go away cause with 40 seconds left in the period they would tie the game up again this time at two on the Hayden Buckley goal. Then the third period would come around and the Chiefs would run out of gas as the Hornets quickly take a 3-2 lead 1:26 into the period on the Tyler Ried goal. Then with just under five minutes left in the game, the Hornets would extend there lead to 4-2 on the Ethan Kay goal. Then in the final minutes of the game, Seamus Andrews would get his hat trick on a shorthanded empty-net goal for the 5-2 victory. In the winning effort, John Dublanky would make 28 saves as the Hornets would go to 4-10-2 on the season while Erick Frechette would make 24 saves as the Chiefs fall to 11-8 on the season. Gallery

It would be a clash between Champlain Valley Athletic Conference foes at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena as the Beekmantown Eagles would host the Saranac Chiefs in conference action. The game would be tight through the first period as there would be no scoring in the period. The Eagles would finally break the ice in the second period and get on the broad with a goal from Dalton Kane. Then the third period would come along and it would a totally different game as the Chiefs would explode for four goals in the period as Austin Carpenter would get three himself and Hunter Provost would add one to give the Chiefs the 4-1 win. With the win, Erick Fechette would stop 31 shots as the Chiefs go to 11-7 on the season and have a date with the Plattsburgh Hornets on the 11th. As for the Eagles Riley Hansen would make 23 saves as they fall to 7-8-1 on the season and are back in action on February 12th as they take on the Northeastern Clinton Cougars. Gallery

The game would be tight throughout the first period as there would be no scoring. The Trojans would get the opening goal of the game at the 5:25 mark on the Colin Schmatz would score for a 1-0 game. Although the Chiefs would answer back two minutes later to tie the game at 1 on the Nikolas Hamel goal. The Chiefs would take the 2-1 lead at the 5:55 mark of the third period on Nikolas Hamel's second goal of the game. The Chiefs would start to put the nail in the coffin as Austin Carpenter would score 54 seconds later to extend the lead to 3-1. Then in the final minute of the game, Hayden Buckley would score on the empty net to secure the 4-1 victory. In the winning effort, Macon Mero would make 34 saves and Nikolas Hamel would score twice as the Chiefs go to 8-5 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Riley Hansen (1) with the shoulder save for one of his 24 saves on the night. The Beekmantown Eagles would host the West Seneca Trojans in a nonconference affair. It would be a very tight game throughout and there would be no scoring in the first period. It would actually take till the last minute of the second period before there would be a goal and that would be the Trojans getting on the board with a Jacob Bily goal for a 1-0 Trojans lead. When the teams came back for the third period the Eagles would keep up the fight through the period going for the game-tying goal but it wouldn't happen. The Trojans would add a late empty-net goal from Hunter Kashuba to secure the 2-0 victory. In the losing effort, Riley Hansen would make 24 saves as the Eagles would fall to 3-4-1 on the season. The Eagles will be right back in action the next day as they travel to Potsdam to take on the Sandstoners as they look to get back to 500 on the season. Gallery

Northeastern Clinton's Reid LaValley (2) and Beekmantown's Gordie King (4) battle for the puck behind the net. It would be a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference matchup between the Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the Beekmantown Eagles in a battle for second in the conference. It would be a game that would live up to the hype as there would be no scoring in the first and second periods of these two evenly matched teams. Then the third period would come around and it would be a different story. It would start off good for the Eagles as they score two goals in the first 2:22 from Dalton Kane and Alex Brienza and have a 2-0 lead. Then at the six-minute mark, the Cougars would score and break up the shutout on the Jon Bulson goal for a 2-1 game. Then at the nine-minute mark, the Cougars would score again this time on the power play from Zachary Miller to make it 2-2. Then at the 11:19 mark, the comeback would be complete as the Cougars would get a second powerplay goal this time from Lucas Bedard for a 3-2. From there on the Cougars would hold on for the 3-2 depict a firey attempt from the Eagles for the equalizer. In the winning effort, the Cougars go to 5-5-1 on the season and have a matchup coming up against the Malone Huskies while the Beekmantown Eagles fall to 5-4-1 on the season and play West Seneca next. Plattsburgh's Thomas Carron (22) hits and drives Beekmantown's DJ Gonyo (27) hard into the broads head first but he would bounce back and continue on. The Beekmantown Eagles and Plattsburgh Hornets would meet for the first of two meetings this season in the crosstown rivalry featured in the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference. It would be a game that would live up to the rivalry as the two teams would duke it out throughout body blow after body blow neither of them giving an inch. The Eagles would strike first with the opening goal from Dalton Kane on the powerplay at the 8:45 mark of the first period. The game would remain there through the rest of the period and even though the whole second period as there would be no scoring. Just when you were starting to think that this might be the lone goal of the game the Hornets would answer and tie the game at 1 at the 10:44 mark of the third on the Tyler Ried powerplay goal. The game would stay there for the rest of the period and the teams would head to overtime tied at one. In the overtime frame, the Eagles would send there fans home happy as Dalton Kane would strike again with his second goal of the game and give them the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort, Riley Hansen would make 20 saves as the Eagles go to 3-3-1 on the season while the Hornets John Dublanyk would make 21 saves as they fall to 4-4-1 on the season.
