Plattsburgh State's Jack Ring (22) with the shot on the net through the defender from just inside the blueline. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host cross-state foe the Buffalo State Bengals in SUNYAC Men's Hockey action. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal just 2:23 into the game on the Paul Bryer for the 1-0 lead. The Bengals would answer back in about the same amount of time at the 5:06 mark from Nikita Kozyrev to tie the game at one. The Bengals would keep fighting and take the lead at the 12:04 mark of the first on the Tyler Vanuden for the 2-1 lead. The Cardinals would keep looking for the equalizer and they would get that equalizer at the 5:36 mark of the second period on Joey Mancuso's second goal of the night and tie the game at two. Then with just under three minutes left in the period, the Cardinals would regain the lead at 3-2 on the shorthanded goal by Pavel Kharin. The Bengals wouldn't let that stand though as they would for the third time on the night tied the game this time from Andrew Logar at the 7:26 mark of the third period. Although the Cardinals would put the Bengals away once and for all with their second short-handed goal of the game at the 14:29 mark of the third period thanks to Trey Thomas and secure the 4-3. In the winning effort, Jacob Hearne would make 17 saves as they go to 12-7-3 on the season and clinch their spot in the SUNYAC Tournament in a couple of weeks. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host cross state foe the Buffalo State Bengals in SUNYAC Men's Hockey action. It would be a tight game through the first half as both teams would have their chance to break it open but no luck and the Cardinals would have a 37-35 lead at the break. When the teams would return for the second half it would be more of the same as no one could break away and tie for the half at 40 each and the Cardinals would hold on for the 77-75 win. In the winning effort, Erik Salo would lead the way with 23 points as they get their first conference win of the season and go to 2-13 on the season. Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would be hosting the Buffalo State Bengals in SUNYAC play. It would be tight through the first quarter the Cardinals would have a slim 17-16 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter it would be a different story as the Bengals would have shutdown defense and win the quarter 13-3 and the Cardinals would trail 29-20 as they head into the intermission, In the third quarter the offenses would both show up and the Cardinals would have a 21-18 quarter but they still would trail 47-41 as they head into the fourth quarter. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would do their best to get back in the game with another 21-18 quarter. Although it wouldn't be enough as they would lose 65-62 and fall to 5-10 on the season and Hope Sullivan would lead the way with 13 points. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Jesse Nehr (22) looks to extend the lead on an open net but it goes just wide. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Fredonia State Blue Devils in SUNYAC action in the home finale of the season. The game would be tight throughout and remain scoreless until 11:33 of the second period when the Blue Devils score to take a 1-0 lead. The Cardinals would tie the game up with 4 minutes remaining left in the second period on Rich McCartney's goal. Then at the 3:40 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would score twice in 20 seconds to make it 3-1 on Jesse Nehr and Rich McCartney's goal. The Blue Devils would score at the 12-minute mark on a penalty shot to cut the lead in half at 3-2. Then in the closing minute of the game, Aryton Valente would score the empty netter to secure the 4-2 victory. In the winning effort, Lawson Fenton would make 37 saves as the Cardinals go to 12-11 on the season. Gallery

It would be a close game throughout the first half but the Bengals would be able to pull away and take a 49-44 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the second half the Cardinals would do there best to keep the game close but the Bengals would be just too much as they win the second half 40-38 as the Cardinals would fall short at 89-82. In the losing effort, Erik Salo would lead the way for the Cardinals with 25 points as they fall to 8-13 on the season. Next up for the Cardinals would be a road trip next weekend to Oswego and Cortland. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Nicole Unsworth (20) puts it to the top shelf for one of her two goals on the afternoon. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Buffalo State Bengals in NEWHL Women's Hockey action. The two teams would take sometime to feel out each other and with that being said there would be no scoring in the first period. Although that would change in the second period and right off the bat as Sara Krauseneck would score just 22 seconds into the game. Then just over the a minute later the Cardinals would strike again and make it 2-0 on the Nicole Unsworth goal. Then at the 7:02 mark Annie Katonka would strike and make it 3-0 Cardinals. Then in the closing seconds of the second period Taylor Whitney would score and the Cardinals would take a 4-0 lead. In the third period the Bengals didn't have much of a answer as the Cardinals would score twice more from Nicole Unsworth (second of the night) and Tatem Cheney as the Cardinals secure the 6-0 win. In the winning effort Ashley Davis would make 11 saves for the shutout as the Cardinals go to 14-1 on the season. Gallery
