Northern Adirondack's Rhylee Poupure (11) with the three from the wing to keep the Bobcats hot. It would be the first championship of championship weekend as the #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats would do battle with the #2 Ausable Valley Patriots for the Section VII Class C Championship. The first quarter would be very low scoring as there seemed like there was a lid on the basket as the Bobcats would have a low scoring 6-2 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would start to find a little easier as they would win the quarter 11-5 and take a 17-7 lead into the intermission. The break would do the Patriots will as they would come back with a good offense output and a 14-11 quarter but would trail in the game 25-21. In the fourth quarter, the Patriots would do their best to cut into the lead but the deficit from the second quarter would be too much as they would win the quarter 15-14 although the Bobcats would hold on for the 42-36 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C Girl's Tournament and will play Madrid-Waddington on March 9th at SUNY Canton as the Ausable Valley Patriots season come to end at 14-5. Moriah's Rowan Swan (14) flyes across the goal line on the two-point conversion. It would be the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D Football championships and it would be another appearance by the #1 Moriah Vikings expect this time they would be taking on the #2 Ausable Valley Patriots for the right to head to the state playoffs and the road to the carrier dome. The upset-minded Patriots would get the opening score of the game on a 12 yard run by Ethan Snow and would take the 7-0 lead with three minutes left in the first quarter. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Moriah Vikings and Bryce Spraque would run back the ensuing kickoff 83 yards for the score with 1:48 left in the quarter although the two-point conversion would fail and the Patriots would have the slim 7-6 lead. The Vikings would officially take the 12-7 lead as Bryce Spraque would strike again although this time through the air on a 15-yard pass at the 5:16 mark of the second quarter and would stay that way for the first half. The Vikings would expand their lead to 20-7 on a 35-yard keeper by Rowan Swan and would also get the two-point conversion. The Patriots would answer right back on their next drive with Ethan Snow's second rushing touchdown of the day to make it a 20-13 game. That is where the game would end up with the Vikings being crowned the 2021 Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Class D Champions although the Patriots wouldn't go down without swinging to get the tying score. With the win, the Vikings enter the NYSPHSAA Class D Tournament at a perfect 8-0 and wait for the winner from the capital district in a couple of weeks while the Ausable Valley Patriots season comes to end at 5-3. Ausable Valley's Nate Doner (12) with the stiff arm to the Hornets defender as he takes it around the edge for the big gain. It would be the last week of the regular season and the Ausable Valley Patriots would host the Plattsburgh Hornets as the teams were tuning up for the playoffs. The Patriots would strike first quickly at the 2:56 mark and take the 6-0 lead on the Nate Doner 6 yard run. That is where the game would stay all the way till the 3:27 mark of the second quarter when the Hornets would hook up with Michael Phillips for a 56-yard pass and catch and the take the lead at 7-6. It was starting to look like that would be the score heading into half until Nate Doner would strike again for a 12-yard receiving touchdown with 39 seconds left and the Patriots would take the 13-7 lead into the break. When the teams came back for the second defenses would be stepping up and the game would remain till the 2:20 mark of the 4th quarter when Ausable Valley's Douglass would have the 46-yard interception for the score and extend their lead to 20-7. Then in the final stages of the game, the Patriots would put the icing on the cake as Nate Doner would strike for the third touchdown of the game and give the Patriots the 27-7 victory. In the winning effort, the Patriots finish of their season at 5-2 and while have a meeting next week with the Ticonderoga Sentinels in the semi-finals of the Section VII Class D Playoffs. As for the Hornets there, the season come to end at 3-4 while they will have the next week off as they will take on the Peru Nighthawks in the Section VII Class B Championship.

Ausable Valley's Garcia is hit as he launches the pass down the field on the pass attempt. It would be week #6 of the Champlain Valley Athletic Conference action and the Ausable Valley Patriots would host the Moriah Vikings. The Vikings would show why they came into this game undefeated as they would get the opening score at the 4:27 mark of the first quarter on the Riley Demarias on the 28 yards run for the 7-0 lead. The Vikings would double up their lead in the first minute of the second quarter on the 8 yards run by Dakota Wright for the 14-0 lead. Then in the final minute of the half, the Vikings would start to pull away as Riley Demarias would strike for the second time from 5 yards out and take the 22-0 lead to the break. When the teams came back for the second half the defenses on both sides would step up as the Vikings would get the lone score of the half at the 4:13 mark of the fourth quarter as Riley Demararias would get his third score of the night to secure the 28-0 victory. In the winning effort, the Moriah Vikings go to 6-0 on the season as they will finish up the regular season against the Saranac Chiefs. While the Ausable Valley Patriots fall to 4-2 and will finish their season against Plattsburgh.

It would be week three of the Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference season and the Saranac Lake Red Storm would travel to Beekmentown and take on the Eagles in what would turn out to be a shootout of a game. The scoring would start off slow as the Red Storm would have the lone score in the opening quarter by Carter Hewitt on a nine-yard run for the 7-0 lead. The Eagles would fight back and tie the game at the 4:45 mark of the second quarter on the Andrew Vannatten 66 yard run for the score and tie the game at seven. Although on ensuring Red Storm drive they would retake the lead at 14-7 on the Carter Hewitt 47 yard run. Although the Eagles would have an answer as Andrew Vannatten would strike again this time through the air with a 39-yard pass and would tie the game at 14 with under three minutes left in the half and that's where the score is is would remain for the first half. During the halftime, the Beekmentown Eagles would honor many different greats from their sports pass as they would enter their first class into the Beekmantown Eagles hall of fame. Although when the teams came back for the second half they must have really hit the Gatorade for some extra energy cause the shootout was on. The Red Storm would regain the lead for the third time on Carter Hewitt's third rushing touchdown of the night and make it a 21-14 game. Although the Eagles would have answered five minutes later not be outdone Andrew Vannatten would get his third touchdown of the night (2 rushings, 1 passing) although they would miss the extra point 21-20. The Red Storm seeing an opening would take advantage as Carter Hewitt would strike for a 51-yard touchdown 30 seconds later and extend their lead to 28-20. The Red Storm would extend their lead as the fourth quarter started as Hewitt would get his fifth touchdown of the night and make it a 35-20 game. Then just two minutes later the Red Storm would try to put the icing on the cake with a 36-yard interception for a touchdown and extend their lead to 42-20. That is where the game would stay till there was about 1:30 left in the game when Andrew Vannaten would get his 2nd receiving touchdown of the game and the Eagles would try for two and fail and the score would be 42-26. The Eagles would recover the onside kick and get a quick score again from Vannatten with 36 seconds left in the game to make 42-33. So once again they would attempt the onside kick and recovery it again. The Eagles would take it quickly down the field and score again thanks to Andrew Vannaten and make it 42-39. The late Eagles charge wouldn't be enough as they lose 42-39 and fall to 1-2 on the season while the Red Storm go to 3-1 on the season. Bext up for the Eagles would be meeting with Moriah while the Red Storm will head to Au Sable Valley.
