Adirondack's Tommy Parran (6) with the crunching hit on the American in the corner. The Adirondack Thunder would host the Allen Americans in front of 2700 fans to finish off the weekend series. It would be a hard-hitting and chippy contest at times not to mention a shootout. It would start off slow as the Americans would get only two goals of the first period from Gagne and Fraser for a 2-0 lead. Although the scoring would pick up greatly in the second period as the teams would combine for seven goals and the Americans would have a 5-4 lead scoring for the Thunder is Sission, Curti, Henry, and Verpaelst. When the teams came back for the third period the Thunder would keep up the fight and tie the game at 6-6 on goals from Szmatula and Salhany and force overtime. In the 3x3 seven-minute overtime there would be nothing decided and they would go to the shootout. In the shootout it would take till the fourth round until we had a winner with the Americans getting the 7-6 win. In the losing effort, Curti and Sission would lead the way with four points as the Thunder fall to 11-11-5 on the season. Gallery
