USA Boy's 16U Hockey Adirondack Cup Finals: Adirondack Jr. Thunder @ Adirondack 46ers

46ers' Liam Davis (17) with the hard crunch along the boards and pins the Jr. Thunder along the dasherboards. It would be the third and final day of the 3rd annual Adirondack Cup at the Malone Civic Center in NYSAHA Boy's 16U Hockey and it would the finals as it would be an all-Adirtondack final as the host 46ers would meet up with the Jr. Thunder for the championship. The game would not start off the greatest for the home 46ers as the Jr. Thunder would get the opening goal in the first couple of minutes. However, the 46ers would come back and get a couple of goals and take a 2-1 lead to end the first period. In the second period, the teams would trade goals and the 46ers would hold a 3-2 lead as they would enter the third period. In the third period, the 46ers offense would come alive and they would get four goals. They would cruise to the 7-2 victory and be crowned the 2023 Adirondack Cup champions. The 46ers will be back in action next Sunday as they will have a pair of games against these same Adirondack Jr. Thunder. Gallery

The Adirondack 46ers pose for their team photo as they are crowned the 2023 Adirondack Cup champions with a 7-2 victory. Adirondack's Kori Lynn Seymour with the blocker save on the breakaway attempt by the Oswego Buccaneers as part of a 25 save afternoon. It would be a little under 14 girls' hockey as the Adirondack 46ers would host the Oswego Buccaneers at the Malone Civic Center. The game would remain scoreless through the first 15 minutes as the teams were very evenly matched and the defenses were holding down the attacks of the teams. In the second period, it was starting to look more of the same until the last thirty seconds of the period when the 46ers would score on the Ashley Cromie goal to make it 1-0 46ers. The game would stay right there through the third period until the final three minutes when the 46ers would double their lead at 2-0 on the Anna Monette goal to secure the 2-0 victory. In the winning effort, the 46ers Kori Lynn Seymour would make 28 saves as they go to 12-2 on the season. Next up for the 46ers will be a home and home next Saturday with the Valley Eagles-CNY Bobcats. Gallery
