Blayden Arquitt and Reif (55) get tangled up as they spin out and get on top of each other as they exited four. It would be the start of the 2022 season at the Mohawk International Raceway and they would have all six of their racing divisions the 358 Modifieds, Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Novice Sportsman Modified, Mod Lites, and Bandits. The racing would start off with the Bandits heat and Sharlow would take the wire to wire win. Then we would have the Mod Lites for heat and Jason Premo would get the checkered flag. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the old man Dale Gonyo would get the win. Then it would be the return of the Dirtcar Pro Stocks with two heats on the night and Zack Daniels and Kevin Featherley would get the wins. Then with nearly 30 Sportsman Modified in the pits, there would be four heats needed on the night and the winners would be Greg Snyder, DJ Gonyo, Shane Pecore, and Cedric Gouvreau. Then we would have two heats of the mighty 358 Modifieds and the winners would be Brian MacDonald and Chris Rabbe along with a big roll by Todd Stone that would completely destroy the car. Then it would be time to head to the mains for the night and first out of the box would be the Bandits and the eventual winner would be Sharlow. Then it would be onto the Mod Lites for 15 laps and after Jason Premo had his big taken from him on late caution flag he and Tristain Dibble would battle down to wire and Dibble would get the win. Then it would be the Novice Sportsman Modified for 15 laps and it would see Cameron Reif getting the win over last year's champion Pyror Stacey for the checkered. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks four 15 laps the race would have to halt for a bit as they would have one get on its roof. After the restart, you would see a battle for the ages upfront between Kevin Featherly and Bruno Richard and with Featherley making one mistake in the closing laps Richard would capitalize for the win. Then it would be onto the Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modified main for 25 laps with 30 cars starting. There would be a few early race cautions that would keep the racing tight at the beginning. Once the cautions went away so would Shane Pecore and get the win in his return to the Mohawk International Raceway. Then it would be the main event of the evening with the 358 Modifieds for 30 laps and with Chris Rabbe starting on the pole the question was would anyone be able to track him down and the answer would be no although it would not be without a valiant effort from Carey Terrance. The racing will return to the track again next Friday, May 20th with all six divisions back in action again. Gallery

Chris Raabe (01) and Mathieu Desjardins (37m) battle for the early race lead of the return of the 358 Modifieds to the Airborne Speedway in three years. It would be the second week of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be the return of the 358 Modifieds for the showdown for the first time since the end of the 2019 season. With that being said the 358 Modifieds would be first up for the heat races and the winners would be Chris Raabe and Mathieu Desjardins. Next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their three heats races on the night and the winners would be, Michael Delormier, Lonnie Rivers, and Codie Aubin. Then we would have the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and their two heat races and it would be a family affair in victory as the winners would be Josh and Tyler Terry. Then we would have the ever-popular Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with their 2 heats on the night and the winners would be Bill Doner and Matt Parker. Then next up to the track would be the first main event of the evening with the Return of the 358 Modified and would be a great race between the 17 cars on the track as they would do the whole race caution-free as Chris Raabe would pick up the win over a hard-charging Mike Mahaney and Carey Terrance to round out the top three on the night. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for 25 laps and a 21 car field to start and their event would also go caution-free and Robert Delormeir would take his pole position and not give it up as he would lead all 25 laps to the race win over Codie Aubin and Lonnie Rivers to round out the top three on the night. Then we would have the popular Hartson Total Opening Renegades and a fourteen-car field on the night and Zack Daniels would come from the fourth spot and get the win. There would be some excitement during the race though as Cody Agoney would spin out in turn 1 and catch a rout and it would take the car on over and bring out the red flag. Once the red flag was lifted and we got back to racing Richie Turner would make a charge from the back for a second-place finish and Tyler Irwin would round out the top three in the division. Then we would have the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders and packed seventeen car field and it would be Nathan Smart charging from the back row to front to gain his second straight win on the season with Matt Parker and Mat LaValley (first career top 3) rounding out the podium on the night. Then it would be the last race of the night a five-lap match race between Kobe Hernandez, and Jonathan Toohill in the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified, and the win would go to Kobe Hernandez. The action will be back next Saturday night May 14th at Airborne Speedway with all four regular divisions back in action on Riley Ford Law Enforcement night where any law enforcement member with proper ID will be granted free entry into the races on the night. Josh Bussino (2x) is the meat in the sandwich as they take it three-wide through turn 3/4 at the Can-Am Motorsports Park with (01) on the bottom and (38j) Jarrett Heribson on the outside. It would be the 4th stop on the Oktoberfast race week and it would come to you from the Can-Am Motorsports Park with nearly 200 cars in attendance between the Super Dirtcar Series, 358 Modifieds, and Sportsman Modified. It would be a long night of racing at Lafargeville with the hot laps getting underway at 4:30 pm and the last race of the night would be getting done shortly before midnight. After all the qualifying and last chance qualifiers, the first man up for the night would be the Bicknell 358 Modifieds with 70 in attendance and only starting 32 for the 40 laps main event making the show would be an accomplishment in its self. When the dust would settle it would be track regular Timmy Fuller taking the win but not without a hard challenge from Anthony Pergeuro and Erick Rudolph. Then next would be the Racing Electronics Sportsman Modified would battle for 30 laps but their field would even be harder to get in as there were over 80 cars at the track trying to make the field of 32. Once again though when the dust would settle it would be a local racer using his knowledge to get the win as Kevin Root would pull into victory lane over Matt Janzuik and Tyler Cahoon for the thousand dollar payday. Then to finish off the night would be the Super Dirtcar Series presented by Billy Whitaker Cars and Truxs for a 60 lap main event and the winners take of $7,500 and when the dust would settle Anthony Pergero would pull in for the win as he would lead wire to wire over Mike Mahaney and Mike Maresca. The next stop on the Oktoberfast tour will be the following night at the Land of Legends Raceway in Canandaigua, Gallery

Michael Wright (78) and Zack Daniels (30) go side by side through turn 1 and keep it up for many laps during the practice session. The racecars would be back on track for their second practice of the season as the tracks look forward to hopefully having actual races in the near future with the COVID-19 pandemic putting a hold to racing activate at the track. With the practice, you would have guys shaking cars down in the 358 Modified, Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades, and the Strictly Stock division. With all the cars there we would have somewhere in the 30s for cars that would take part in the event. Now it's just a waiting game for the drivers and teams on what's to happen next at the racetrack. Gallery
