It would be the second week of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Wrestling as the Peru Nighthawks would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats it would be close in the early going but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would pull away for the 49-24 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would go to 2-0 in the section while the Peru Nighthawks fall to 1-1 as the teams hit the quarter pole of the sectional season. Peru's wrestler goes up and under on the Northern Adirondack Bobcats wrestler for the toss to the matt. It would be the second week of Champlain Valley Athletic Conference Wrestling as the Peru Nighthawks would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats it would be close in the early going but the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would pull away for the 49-24 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would go to 2-0 in the section while the Peru Nighthawks fall to 1-1 as the teams hit the quarter pole of the sectional season. Northern Adirondack's Bruce (7) with the fire across the diamond to complete the out at first. It would be a matchup inside section VII Baseball as the Plattsburgh Hornets would host the Northern Adirondack Bobcats in league action. The Hornets would score four runs in the second inning with the key point of the inning being a rbi single by Braeden Calkins to give the Hornets the 4-0 lead. However, Bobcats would answer right back with a single run in the top of the third inning to make it a 4-1 game. Although the Hornets would keep the bats hot and score another 4 runs in the bottom of the third led by a 3-rbi triple by Trenton Griffiths to give the Hornets the 8-1 lead. The Hornets would stay hot in the fourth inning the Hornets would score another 4 runs lead by a pair of rbi hits by Nate Baker and Braeden Calkins and take a 12-1 lead. Then in the fifth inning, the Hornets would continue the hitting as they would get another couple of runs on a 2 rbi double by Marcus Griffith and extend the lead to 14-1. In the sixth inning, the Bobcats would get a single run by Boulrice on a passed ball to make it a 14-2 game. Although the Hornets would keep their red-hot going and get another five runs in the sixth inning led by a pair of rbi singles by Nate Baker and Jake Ferris as the Hornets would secure the 19-2 win. In the winning effort for the Hornets, Dan Hartman would go five innings and give up just three hits and one run and struck out nine as the Hornets go to 8-3 as the Bobcats would fall to 1-6 on the season. It would be the second game of championship Sunday for Section VII Basketball and this would be in Class C Boy's action as the #1 Moriah Vikings would take on the #2 Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The game would get off to a fast start, which would be good for the Moriah Vikings as they would double up the Bobcats in the first quarter and have a 22-11 lead. In the second quarter, the Vikings would continue to impress as they would pull away with a 14-5 quarter and have a 36-16 lead as they entered the halftime break. When the teams would return for the second half the Vikings would not show any let up as they would 11-10 quarter and take a commanding 47-26 lead into the fourth quarter. In that fourth quarter, the Vikings would let up and just coast the quarter as the Bobcats would win the quarter at 12-8 although the Vikings would hold on for the 55-38 victory. With the win, the Vikings will advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament and will play Chatham from Section 2 at Clinton Community College on March 8th with the winner getting Canton for the right to go to Final Four. The Moriah Vikings have crowned the 2023 Section VII Class C champions with a 55-38 win over the Northern Adirondack Bobcats as they advance to the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament. It would be the second game of championship Sunday for Section VII Basketball and this would be in Class C Boy's action as the #1 Moriah Vikings would take on the #2 Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The game would get off to a fast start, which would be good for the Moriah Vikings as they would double up the Bobcats in the first quarter and have a 22-11 lead. In the second quarter, the Vikings would continue to impress as they would pull away with a 14-5 quarter and have a 36-16 lead as they entered the halftime break. It would be the opening game of championship Sunday for Section VII Basketball and it would feature the top two seeds from Class C on the Girl's side as the #2 Northeastern Clinton Cougars and the #1 Northern Adirondack Bobcats. The Cougars would get off to a quick start in the game and take a 14-3 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bobcats would get their shot going although it wouldn't be good enough as the Cougars would have a 13-10 quarter and take a 27-13 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the Cougars would stay hot and have a 14-9 quarter and take a 41-22 lead into the fourth. In that quarter the Cougars would fall back and use the clock to their advantage and have a 9-8 quarter for the 49-29 victory. With the win, the #7 Northeastern Clinton Cougars advance to the NYSPHSAA Tournament and will take on #3 Greenwich on March 8th in the opening round of the tournament. Gallery

It would be the last game of the regular season inside section VII and would be a reschedule from an earlier game in the season due to replacement weather. The game would start off a with high flying pace that would play right into the hands of the Bobcats as they would race out to a 21-14 lead after the first quarter. In the second quarter, the high-flying pace would continue as the Bobcats would jump on a 23-15 quarter and take a 44-29 lead into the intermission. When the teams returned for the third quarter the hot hand for the Bobcats would continue and they would have an 18-12 quarter and take a 62-41 lead into the final quarter. In the fourth quarter, there would be no give in the Bobcats as they would have a 13-11 quarter and secure the 75-52 victory. In the winning effort, the Northern Adirondack Bobcats would finish the regular season at 11-9 and will get the #3 seed in the upcoming Section VII Class C Tournament and will face the Northeastern Clinton Cougars in the semi-finals. While the Plattsburgh Hornets will finish their season at 7-11 will get the #3 seed in the Section VII Class B Tournament and will host the #6 Peru Nighthawks in the first round of the tournament.
