Plattsburgh State's Trey Thomas (3) gets the goal on the scramble in front of the net. It would be the first SUNYAC game of the second half of the season as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #2 Geneseo State Knights. The #2 wouldn't wait long as they jump out to a 1-0 lead just 55 seconds into the game on the Domenic Garozzo goal. The Knights would extend their lead to 2-0 at the 9:50 mark n a powerplay goal from Justin Cmunt. Then just 25 seconds later Adam Tretowicz would get the Cardinals on the board and make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would keep fighting and tie the game up at two on the Paul Bryer goal at the 14:39 mark. Although with just 12 seconds left in the first period the Knights Dan Bosio would score to make it a 3-2 game. That is where the game would stay all the way till the 3:33 mark of the third period when the Cardinals Trey Thomas would tie the game up at three. The Knights would fight back and regain the lead at 8:30 of the period on Peter Morgan's powerplay goal. Then at the 12:18 mark, the Knights would make it a two-goal game on Domenic Garozzo second goal of the game at 5-3. Then with under a minute left in the game, the Knights Domenic Garozzo would finish off the hat trick night with an empty netter in a 6-3 game. In the losing effort, Anthony Del Tuffo would make 37 saves as they fall to 10-7-3 on the season. Next up for the Cardinals would be tomorrow night against the Brockport State Golden Eagles. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Marcus Mitchell (39) uses the body as he goes down the slot to gain position. It would be a non-conference matchup as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the brand new Riviers Raiders at the Fieldhouse on a senior night. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would get the opening goal at the 9:41 mark of the first period on the Christian Difelice for the 1-0 lead. Although the Raiders would fight the rest of the period and get the equalizer with four minutes left in the period from Tyler Duderstadt. The tie would be short-lived as the Cardinals regained the lead at 2-1 on the Carson Gallagher goal with 1:17 left in the period. As the second period would get underway the Raiders would actually fight and take the lead to the Milan Breczko powerplay goal. The tie would be short-lived as the Cardinals would take the lead back at 3-2 on the Jacob Modry goal 30 seconds later. The Raiders would keep fighting and tie the game again with just under five minutes left on the Jon Tavella goal/ The game would stay there until the 8:54 mark of the third period when the Raiders would get their first lead of the game on the Ryan Nolte goal at 4-4. Although the Cardinals would fight all the way to the last horn and get the tying goal with 12 seconds left on the Carson Gallaghers second of the game to force overtime. In that overtime period, the Cardinals would send the faithful home happy as Luk Jirousek would light the lamp 1:38 into the overtime for the 5-4 win. It would be the classic rivalry revisited again as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Middlebury Panthers in non-conference action. It would be a very fast-paced game that would have its moments of roughness. The teams would be even through the first period and no one would be able to light the lamp. The opening goal of the game would come at the 12:10 mark of the second period when Middlebury's Wyatt Pastor would break the seal on the powerplay for the 1-0 lead. The game would stay there until the 3:03 mark of the third period when the Cardinals would tie the game at one thanks to Trey Thomas. Then just about four minutes later the Panthers would regain the lead at 2-1 thanks to the Paul Fine-Lease goal. Then at the 9:35 mark of the third Mitchell Halle with help from Jagger Benson and Pavel Kharin would tie the game at two. Although once again the Panthers would take the lead 3-2 just a minute later on Andrej Hromic's goal. But the Cardinals wouldn't go quietly into the night as they would tie the game for the third time on Trey Thomas's goal with just over five minutes left in the game. The game would start off good for the home Cardinals as they would light the lamp just 5:36 into the game on the Thomas Maia goal for the 1-0 lead. Then with 90 seconds left in the period, the Cardinals would score again on the powerplay from Matt Araujo to make it 2-0 Cardinals. To start the second period the Cardinals would show some life and get on the board at the 2:18 mark from Aaron Frenkel to make it a 2-1 game. The Cardinals would answer back and they would authority as they get three before the end of the period to make it a 5-1 game thanks to Jack Ring and Joey Mancuso (twice). As the third period started the Monarchs would answer back to make it a three-goal game at 5-2 on Aaron Frenkel's second goal of the game at the 5:17 mark. But then here would come the Cardinals as they would storm away with three goals down the stretch from Thomas Maia (twice of the night), Christian Difelice, and Bennett Stockdale for the 8-2 victory. Albertus Magnus celebrates their overtime winner and wins the W.B. Mason Winter Classic in the process. It would be game two of the W.B. Mason Winter Classic and it would feature the Albertus Magnus Falcons and the King's Monarchs. It would be a tight evenly matched game through the first as there would be no scoring. The first goal of the game would not come until the 11:36 mark of the second period when Tyler Ignazzitto would light the lamp for the Falcons and make it a 1-0 game. Then with just about two minutes left in the period, the Falcons would strike again this time on the powerplay from Colt Corpse for a 2-0 game. Then when the teams came back for the third period the Falcons would go for the knockout as they would score just a minute into the period to make it 3-0. Although the Monarchs would show some life as Mahingan Decontie would score at the 5:26 mark of the third to make it 3-1. The Monarchs would keep fighting and make it a 3-2 game at the 9:17 mark of the third period on a powerplay goal by Jack Cooper. Then with just under five minutes left in the game, the Monarchs would complete the comeback and tie at three on the Nick Snyder. That is where the game would stay until the overtime and in that overtime, Alex Gagnon would get his second of the night and it was an important one as it would be the game-winner. In the winning effort, Logan Bateman would make 29 saves as they go to 9-6 on the season while the Monarchs fall to 2-10 on the season. Gallery.

The game would start off slow as these evenly matched teams would feel each other out and there would be no scoring in the first period. In the second period, the home Cardinals would get the opening goal at the 3:18 mark from Paul Bryer for the 1-0 lead. Although the lead would be short-lived as the Falcons would tie the game at one just over 90 seconds later on the Coleton Cianci goal. Then with just over five minutes left in the period, the Falcons would take the lead 2-1 on the Tim Manning goal. Although with 51 seconds left in the second period Adam Trentowicz would score on the powerplay to tie the game two. The Cardinals would take the lead back just 90 seconds into the third period on Paul Bryer's second goal of the game to make it 3-2. The third period would start off good for the visiting Falcons as they would get two powerplay goals and an even-strength goal 115 seconds apart from Gagnon, Sam Anderson (twice) to take the 5-3 lead. Then just over the halfway mark of the third period Thomas Maia would score for the Cardinals to make it a 5-4 game. Although with just under 90 seconds left in the game the Falcons would take the 6-4 lead and win on the empty netter by Ryan Colwell. In the losing effort, Anthony Del Tuffo would make 21 saves as the Cardinals fall to 7-5-2 on the season.
