Shane Pecore (0) leads Cedric Geavreau (22c) and Dave Rodgers (44) into the first corner as they battle for the DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series victory. The night would start off with the finish of the 40-lap DIRTcar Sportsman Modified Series race with Shane Pecore getting the win over Cedric Gearveau and Dave Rodgers to round out the top three. The next up would be the Renegades main that was never run on the opening night due to track conditions Tyler Irwin and Shawn Duquette would put on a battle at the front for the win and Tyler Irwin would beat Duquette across the line for victory one although the win would end up going to Shawn Duquette as Irwin wouldn't be able to pass the tech area at the end. Then the Sportsman Modified would be back out again this time in heat races as they would prep for their second main of the night and the wins would go to Cedric Guvreau, Jessica Power, and Dave Rodgers, Then it would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there two heats and the wins would go to Nick Harnden and Jake Fountain. Then it would be a 25-lap main event for the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and this time the win would go to Dave Rodgers after a heated battle with Shane Pecore and DJ Gonyo would round out the top three as he was looking for his chance to pass them both. The night would finish with the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders and Jake Fountain would beat Mat Parker across the line by a couple of car lengths for his second straight win. Gallery

Zack Daniels (30), Josh Terry (43), and Rick Frenyea (07) battle three-wide during their heat races as they send it into turn one. It would be the seventh week of racing at the Airborne Speedway presented by Seacomm and would have all the weekly divisions in attendance for an action-packed night of racing. Also during the event's intermission, the Airborne Speedway would take time to honor the 2021 track champions and top ten points in each of the divisions. The racing would start off with three heats for the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and the wins would go to DJ Gonyo, Jason Bruno, and Chris Cayea. Then next up would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for two heats with wins going to Jason Bogett and Tylor Terry. Then it would be the one heat for the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Oliver Boissonneault. Then the heat racing would end up with three heats for the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders would be Jake Fountain, Bill Doner, and Kenny Tourville. Then it would be onto the main events on the evening and first out of the box would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there 25 lap main event the winner on the night would be Jamy Begor who would come up from the seventh spot and charge to lead by lap 11 eleven to hold on for the win. Also making the charge from mid-pack would be Robert Delormier from ninth to third and finishing the top 3 would be DJ Gonyo for second on the night. Then next up would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there 25 lap event and the win would go to Nathaniel Guay would get his third win of the season as he and Tylor Terry would go door handle to handle for the win over the last 5 laps and Tyloe Terry would lose it trying to pinch it in headed into turn three on the last lap giving the win to Guay and Zack Daniels and Jason Bogett would round out the top three. Then it would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for 15 laps and the winner would be Oliver Boissoneault on his first trip to the Airborne Speedway. Then it would be the final race of the night with the Tayloe Rental 4 Cylinders and Jake Fountain would charge from his eleventh starting spot for his second straight win with Kenny Tourville and Bill Doner rounding out the top three. With the Taylor Rental, it would like to note that the drivers from the other divisions pitched in extra money for their purse spearheaded by the Branham Racing Team giving them an extra 2200 dollars so each four-cylinder driver went home with an extra 110 dollars on top of there regular prize money. The racetrack will come back alive for a mid-week show this Wednesday, June 15th to finish off racing from the postponed opening week with the Sportsman Modified Double Feature, and the Renegades and 4 Cylinder events. Jordan Poirier (28) and Sam Donath (53) battle for the early lead in the Empire Super Sprints 25 lap main event. It would be the sixth week of racing at Airborne Speedway on Empire Super Sprints presented by Casella Waste Management with the other weekly divisions in action. First out for the night would be the two heats of Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints and the winners would be Sam Donath and Jeff Cook. Then next up would be three heats for the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified and the winners would be Jamy Begor, Matt Leonard, and Mike Phinney. Then to finish out the heats on the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for two heats and wins go to Jason Bogett and Nathaniel Guay. Next on the track would be the return of the Empire Super Sprints for their dash race and the winner would be Davie Franek. Then the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified would hit the track for their 15-lap main event and one of the early favorites would have issues as Steve Burch would climb the front stretch wall on the opening lap. Once they went back racing it would be the Pryor Stacey show for the win and Xavier Delormier and Dale Gonyo would round out the podium. Then we would have the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders on the track for there 20 lap main event and it would be an early show between Josh Laporte and Nate Smart but with the aid of a couple of cautions, it would help Jake Fountain move up from the rear of the field into the fight for the win. Jake Fountain would take the lead in the closing stages after a fight with Josh Laporte the lead and Fountain would get the win for his first of the season over Josh Laporte and Nate Smart. Then we would have the Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints for there 25 lap main event and Jordan Poirier and Sam Donath would start on the front row and after a caution lap one they would do the rest caution-free and Jordan Poirier would get the seven-second win over Shawn Donath and Jason Barney to round out the top three. Then we would have the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for there 25 lap main event and would see Matt Leonard start on the pole and hold onto the top spot with one of the best Jamy Begor chasing him down in that second position and would see Codie Aubin come from the seventh position to third to round out the top three on the night and hard charger would be Tanner Forbes who gained 6 spots finish sixth on the night. Then the night would finish out with the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for their 25-lap main event and would see a mid-race battle between Tylor Terry and Nathaniel Guay until Terry got loose coming off of turn 2 and spun out with five to go. Once they restarted Nathaniel Guay would battle for the lead with Richie Turner until Turner got loose off of turn four with 2 to go going for the win but would hold on for the 2nd spot and Josh Terry would round out the top three. The action will return to the Airborne Speedway on Saturday, June 10th with all the weekly divisions on the night. Gallery

Bucko Branham (20) finds his way into victory lane for the first time of the 2022 season in the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified division. It would be the fifth week of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would be Twin 20's for the Renegade division presented by Seacomm Federal Credit Union. First up would be the heat races for the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and the winners would be Shawn Duquette and Richie Turner. Then next up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified with their three heats and the winners would be Michael Wright, Tanner Forbes, and Matt Leonard. Then we would have three heats for the Taylor Rental four cylinders and the winners would be Josh Laporte, Nate Smart, and Mat Parker. Then we would finish off the qualifying with the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified heat and the winner would be Dale Gonyo. Then we would be on to the main events for the evening and the first up would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades' first main and it would come down to a late-race restart that would see Zack Daniels take the win from third with 2 laps to go. Then it would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their 25-lap main event and would see Bucko Branham get the win from his front-row start. Still, it would not be without competition as Beau Reeves would come up from the 8th starting spot for a second-place finish and would be charging for the win and Tanner Forbes would finish off the top three. Then we would have the Taylor Rental Four Cylinders and it would look like Josh Laporte was going to run away with the race but a late-race caution would set up a two-lap shutout. In that 2 lap shutout, it would be between Laporte and Jake Fountain for the win and Fountain would out drag him to the checkered off of turn four but in the end, Josh Laporte would get the win as Fountain was unable to pass technical inspection after the race. Next up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified for their 12-lap main that would go green to checkered and getting his first win was Mike McGinn. Then it would be the final race of the night as the Renegades would come back out for their second main event of the night and would see Shawn Duquette get the early lead. Although Zack Daniels would charge from his dead last race start to the front and get the win for the double on the night over Richie Turner and Tylor Terry.Gallery

Week #2 Mohawk International Raceway May 13th 2022

It would be the second week of racing at the Mohawk International Raceway and there would be five divisions in action on the night with the 358 Modifieds, Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified, and Novice Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, and Bandits. First up for the heats would be the bandits and the win would go to Gary Sharlow. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the win would go to Pryor Stacey. Then there would be two heats for the Pro Stock and the wins would be Bruno Richard and Zack Daniels. Then it would be the Crossroads Tobacco Sportsman Modified for three heats and the winners would be Fire Swamp, Justin Rose, and Dustin Bradley. Then to close out the heat races it would be two for the 358 Modifieds with the wins going to Carey Terrance and Brian MacDonald. Then it would be onto the mains and the first one out of the box would be the Bandits and it would be Gary Sharlow getting his second win of the season. Then we would have the Dirtcar 358 Modifieds and Carey Terrance would take his pole position start for the 30 lap race and just check out on the field for the convincing win. Then we would have the ever-popular Crossroad Tabacco Sportsman Modified for their 25-lap race and it would be a battle between father and son for the win and younger Cedric Gaureau getting the win. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks and it would be a battle right down to the end with Kevin Fetterly and Bruno Richard and Richard would get his second straight win on the season. Then we would finish off the night with the Novice Sportsman Modified and that would once again be a back-to-back win as Cameron Reif would get the win. A Vendri Storage Container Night May 21st 2022

Travis Bruno (33R) would get the edge on Tanner Forbes on a late race restart and cash in for his second race win of the early season. It would be the fourth week of racing at the Airborne Speedway and it would A Verdi Storage Container night with the J+S Steel Sportsman, Hartson Total Opening Renegades, and Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders in action. The racing would be delayed an half hour at the start as there would be rain shower that would come through but when the racing would start it would be fast and fourius night with the show done in like two hours and thirty minutes. First up would be the heat races for the Sportsman Modified and the winners would be Jason Bruno, Tanner Forbes and Michawl Wright. Then we would have the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and the heat races would stay in the family as the win would go to Tylor and Josh Terry. Then to end out the heat racing action it would be two for the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders as the they would have two heats and the wins would go to a pair of josh's as Blake would get the first heat and Laporte gets heat two. Then it would be time for the main events of the evening and the first one up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for 25 laps and it would be a race that would be dominated by Tanner Forbes and then there would be a late race restart that would see his 8 car length lead go away. On the insuing retart it would be Tanner Forbes and Travis Bruno on the front row and when they went into turn 1 Forbes would catch the vrom and upset the car giving the edge to Travis Bruno and he would take it home for his second straight win. Then we would see the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for there 25 lap main event and Zack Daniels would get the lead and would check out on the field and was looking like he was going to get win number two of the season until the backstretch of the final lap when he would have a tire go flat and Tylor Terry woud inherit the win. Then the final race of the night would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders and there 15 lap race would take seven minutes as it would go caution free and Josh Laporte would get the win over a late charging Jake Fountain that would come up just short and rounding out the top three would be JJ Laporte. The Airborne Speedway would be back in action next week with Seacomm Credit Union Pay it Forward night as the first 500 fans will get in free on the night with the normal racing divisions back in action. Law Enforcement Night Presented by Riley Ford May 14 th 2022

Lonnie Rivers (R7) and Robert Deloremier (10) go sliding through turn one as they battle for the lead during the heat race of the Sportsman Modified as they look to better their start in the main. It would be the third night of racing at Airborne Speedway of the season and it would be Law Enforcement Night presented by Riley Ford with the Sportsman Modifieds, Renegades, and 4 Cylinders in action. The car count might have been a little down on with the Dirtcar Sportsman Modified Series race at Bear Ridge but that wouldn't change the excitement on the track. Before opening ceremonies the Sportsman Modified would come out for time trials and Robert Deloremier would pick up fast time of the night and a cool 125 dollars. Then it would be onto the heat races from the night and first out of the box would be the Renegades for two and wins would go to Tylor Terry and Richie. Then we would have the Sportsman Modified and the wins would go to fan favorites Lonnie Rivers and Jamy Begor and then to finish off the heats it would be the four cylinders for two heats and the wins would go to JJ Laporte and Mat Parker. Then it would be onto the main events of the evening and the first one up would be the Renegades. After a few early cautions for spins, they would clean it up and have a great last 12 laps of racing as Zack Daniels and Nathaniel Guay would be on it for the win and with minimal contact would cross the line together and Guay would get the win. Then it would be onto the Taylor Rental four cylinders and there would be 19 cars that would start the 15 laps main after the carnage would settle only ten would finish. The win would go to first-time winner Greg Zinder Jr, or Bill Doner as he was chasing him down and just ran out of laps. Then there was just one race left on the night the Sportsman Modified 25 lap main event and it would get off to a scary start on the lap as Casey Swamp's car would catch fire on lap 1 but would get to the infield and get it out and the driver would be ok. Then with 4 laps to go there would be a restart after a multicar crash in turn three that would take out Beau Reeves and Chris Cayea. On the restart, it would be teammates Travis Bruno and Lonnie Rivers and they would duel it out and the win would go to defending track champion Travis Bruno with Tanner Forbes rounding out the top three. The racing at Airborne Speedway will return to the track next weekend May 21st with all the regular divisions back in action. Gallery

Season Opener Mohawk International Raceway May 13th 2022

Eli Gilbert (75) would spin on the final corner and Justin White (1x) would slam on the breaks to avoid him but still would make slight contact with the nose. It would be the start of the 2022 season at the Mohawk International Raceway and they would have all six of their racing divisions the 358 Modifieds, Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modifieds, Pro Stocks, Novice Sportsman Modified, Mod Lites, and Bandits. The racing would start off with the Bandits heat and Sharlow would take the wire to wire win. Then we would have the Mod Lites for heat and Jason Premo would get the checkered flag. Then we would have the Novice Sportsman Modified and the old man Dale Gonyo would get the win. Then it would be the return of the Dirtcar Pro Stocks with two heats on the night and Zack Daniels and Kevin Featherley would get the wins. Then with nearly 30 Sportsman Modified in the pits, there would be four heats needed on the night and the winners would be Greg Snyder, DJ Gonyo, Shane Pecore, and Cedric Gouvreau. Then we would have two heats of the mighty 358 Modifieds and the winners would be Brian MacDonald and Chris Rabbe along with a big roll by Todd Stone that would completely destroy the car. Then it would be time to head to the mains for the night and first out of the box would be the Bandits and the eventual winner would be Sharlow. Then it would be onto the Mod Lites for 15 laps and after Jason Premo had his big taken from him on late caution flag he and Tristain Dibble would battle down to wire and Dibble would get the win. Then it would be the Novice Sportsman Modified for 15 laps and it would see Cameron Reif getting the win over last year's champion Pyror Stacey for the checkered. Then we would have the Dirtcar Pro Stocks four 15 laps the race would have to halt for a bit as they would have one get on its roof. After the restart, you would see a battle for the ages upfront between Kevin Featherly and Bruno Richard and with Featherley making one mistake in the closing laps Richard would capitalize for the win. Then it would be onto the Crossroad Tobacco Sportsman Modified main for 25 laps with 30 cars starting. There would be a few early race cautions that would keep the racing tight at the beginning. Once the cautions went away so would Shane Pecore and get the win in his return to the Mohawk International Raceway. Then it would be the main event of the evening with the 358 Modifieds for 30 laps and with Chris Rabbe starting on the pole the question was would anyone be able to track him down and the answer would be no although it would not be without a valiant effort from Carey Terrance.
