The Plattsburgh State Cardinals pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2019 Northeast Womens Hockey League champion for the second year in a row. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Cortland State Red Dragons in the 2019 N.E.W.H.L. Championship. The Cardinals would take the early 1-0 lead four minutes into the first period from Erin McArdle. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 in the last few seconds of the first period on the Hanna Rose goal. In the second period Courtney Moriarty would get the goal at 6:34 for the 3-0 in the second period. Then three minutes later Annie Katonka would score to make it 4-0 Cardinals. Then in the final minute of the period Taylor Whitney would score for the 5-0 lead. That would end the scoring as there was nothing in the third period and the Cardinals would get the 5-0 victory to claim the 2019 NEWHL Chanpionship. The top seeded Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the 4 seeded Oswego State Lakers in the semi-finals of the NEWHL Hockey Tournament at the Field House in front of 500 people. The Cardinals would get the lone goal of the first period on the power play from Nicole Unsworth for the 1-0 lead after one. In the second period the Cardinals would get three goals in the period from Kaitlin Drew-Mead, Madison Walker and Mackenize Millen for the 4-1 lead after the second period. The Cardinals would strike again in the third period for three more goals from Courtney Moriarity, Annie Katonka, and Nicole Unsworth (second of the night) to secure the 7-1 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals celeberate as they beat Brockport State to advance in the SUNYAC Tournament. The #3 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #6 Brockport State Golden Eagles in the Quarterfinals of the SUNYAC Tournament. The Golden Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead just 2:17 into the game. That would be the only scoring all the way til the 6:48 mark of the third period when Matt Araujo would score to tie the game at one. The Cardinals would take the lead just 80 seconds later on Cole Stallard's goal to make it a 2-1 Cardinals lead. The Cardinals would add a empty netter in the closing minute from Ross Sloan to secure the 3-1 victory. The game would remain scoreless until the 1:33 mark of the second period when the Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead on Kaitlin Drew-Mead goal. The Cardinals would expand there lead to 2-0 on Abby Brush's breakaway goal at the 6:43 mark of the third period. The Panthers although would cut the lead in half with under five minutes to go to make the reminder intense. Although the Cardinals would put the game away in the last minute on a empty netter from Annie Katonka to secure the 3-1 victory. Siena's Kadeem Smithen (5) in flights takes shot with the Quinnipac defender all over him as part of a five point night. The Siena Saints would host the Quinnipac Bobcats in MAAC action as they battle for second in the conference. The Bobcats would completely dominate the Saints throughout the first as they would 39-24 at the half. In the second half it would be completely different as the Siena would battle all the way back and tie the game up with a 51-36 half to send the game to overtime tied at 75. In the the overtime the Saints would hit one near the end to send it to a second overtime at 86. In that second overtime the Bobcats would hit a three pointer as time expired to send us to a third overtimme tied at 93. In that third overtime the Saints just ran out of as gas they Bobcats win the overtime 14-7 to secure the 107-100 victory. In the lose the Saints fall to 13-14 on the season as Jalen Pickett would lead the way with 46 points.Gallery

The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would end there regular season against arch rival #3 Oswego State Lakers in SUNYAC action. The Cardinals would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:59 mark of the first period from Christian Difelice. The Cardinals would waste no time make it 2-0 just 36 seconds later on Ryan Kuhn's goal. The game would remain there all the way til the third period when the Lakers would score at the 9:38 nark. From there the Cardinals would fight to keep the one goal lead and get the 2-1 victory. In the winning effort Jimmy Poreda would make 32 saves as the Cardinals finish the season at 12-11-2. The Cardinals would strike quick on Andrew Pizzio's goal at 1:34 of the first period to make it 1-0 Cardinals. Then at the 5:50 mark the Cardinals would extend there lead to 2-0 on Phillip Middleton's goal. Then with 6 minutes left in the period Ian Keller would score for Cortland to cut there lead in half at 2-1. The game would stay there til nine minute mark of the second period when Cam Owens would score for the Cardinals to regain the 2 goal lead at 3-1. Then just about two minutes later the Cardinals would score again to make 4-1. That is where the game would stay til the 11 minute mark of the third period when Cole Stallard would score for the Cardinals and secure the 5-1 victory. Plattsburgh State's Jonathan Patron would be honored before the game as he would become the all time scoring leader in time history with over 1,800 points. As for the game it would be SUNYAC foes Plattsburgh State Cardinals hosting the Cortland State Red Dragons as they battle for second place in the conference. The Cardnals would use the home court to take the early control of the game as they would race out to the lead and have a 49-39 lead at the intermission. When the teams came back for the second half the Red Dragons would do there best to make a game out of it and win the second half 38-32. Although it would not be enough as the Cardinalsd would take the 71-67 victory. In the winning effort the Cardinals would go to 18-4 while Jonathan Patron would lead the way with 23 points. The #9 Cornell Big Red would host the St. Lawrence Saints in ECAC Hockey action at Lynah Rink in front of just over 3900 fans. Michael Regush would give the Big Red the early 1-0 lead five minutes into the game on the power play. Then at the ten minute mark of the first period the Big Red would extend there lead to 2-0 on another powerplay goal. The game would remain there til the 11 minute mark of the second period when Sr. Lawrence's Andrew Mcintyre would light the lamp to cut the lead in half at 2-1. The Big Red would regain the two goal with 4 minutes left bin the period on Mitch Vanderlaan goal to make it 3-1. Although that would be all from the Saints as the Big Red hold on for the 3-1 victory. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Cortland State Red Dragons in SUNYAC action. The game would be tight through the first quarter and be tied at 14. In the second quarter the Cardinals would start to pull away with a 21-16 quarter and have a 35-30 lead at the intermission. When teams came back for the third quarter the Cardinals would take control and win the quarter 17-11 and have a 52-41 lead. In the fourth quarter the Cardinals would just mantian the lead with 19-17 quarter for the 71-58 victory.
