The Malone Huskies would host the Plattsburgh Hornets in nonleague action as there home opener. The game would remain scoreless until the last minute of the first period when the Huskies would make it 1-0 on Jordan Schrafs goal. The game would stay there till the 6-minute mark of the second period when Hornet's Devin Clarke would score to make it 1-1. The Huskies would regain the lead at 2-1 on Evan Keegan's goal at 12:59 of the second period. Then at 2:57 of the third period Huskies, Kyler Head would make it 3-1 with a shorthanded goal. Then at the 8:42 mark of the third, the Hornet's would do there best to get back in the game with a power-play goal by Andrew Bechard to make it 3-2. Although it wouldn't be enough and from there the Huskies would hold on for the 3-2 victory. In the winning effort, Malone's Joey Brown makes 28 saves and the Huskies go to 1-0 on the season. Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football Plattsburgh Pioneers Vs Plattsburgh Honeybadgers

It would be week two of the Plattsburgh Indoor Flag Football League and it would pit the Plattsburgh Pioneers and Plattsburgh Honeybadgers. The Honeybadgers would bring there A-game tonight and the Pioneers would be on their heel from the start. The Honeybadgers would win the first half going away 35-7. In the second half, the Pioneers would do there best to make it a game but the Honeybadgers just had too much today winning the half 34-16 and getting the game 69-23. With the result of this game, both the Honeybadgers and Pioneers would go to 1-1 on the season. Gallery

The Cardinals would take the 1-0 lead with 4:12 left in the first period on Caitlin Gilligain's goal. Then at the 10:23 mark of the second period, the Eagles would tie the game up at one on Johanna Eidensten's goal. Then just 12 seconds into the third period Shannon Stewart would score on the powerplay to make it 2-1 Cardinals. Then just over three minutes, the Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Melissa Sheeran's goal. Then another three minutes later Cardinal's Mia Favretto would score to make it 4-1. The Soaring Eagles would add a late goal to make it 4-2 but it would not be enough as the Cardinals would get the 4-2 win and go to 8-0-2 on the season. Gallery

It would be a battle of the top two teams in the nation for the Cardinal/Panther Classic Championship as the Plattsburgh State Cardinals and Elmira Soaring Eagles would do battle. In the semi-finals of the Cardinal/Panthers classic, we would have a battle of two of the top four teams in the nation as #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #4 Gustavus Adolphus Yellow Jackets. The Cardinals would get the lone goal of the first period just a 1:28 in on Melissa Sheeran's goal to make it 1-0 after the 1st period. Then at the 5:53 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would make it 2-0 Mia Favretto's goal. The Yellow Jackets would come back and make it 2-1 at the 10:33 mark of the second period. Then at the 17:32 mark of the second period, the Cardinals would regain the two-goal lead on Bridget Bailsey's goal to make it 3-1. Then at the 9:03 mark of the third period, the Cardinals would extend there lead to 4-1 the Andreas Zeissman goal. However, the Yellow Jackets would come charging back getting three goals in a 4-minute span to send the game to overtime tied at four. In the overtime there would be no scoring so the game would officially go down as a tie but seeing that it was a tournament they went to a shootout and the Cardinals would win it in the 4th round to head to the Championship and go to 7-0-2 on the season.
