When the teams returned the Saints would jump on them early and extend there lead to 17 points. Although the Express would not go quietly and get right back into the Saints would have to hold on for the slim 67-63 win. The Cardinals would take the quick 1-0 lead five minutes in on Kevin Emmerling's goal. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 2-0 on Mark Constantines' goal at the ten-minute mark. That is where the game would stay until three minutes into the second period when Michael Radisa's goal to make it 3-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would stay until the third period when the Cardinals would get three goals coming from Mark Constantine, Dillon Fox and Kevin Emmerling to finish off the Golden Eagles for the 6-0 win.
