Plattsburgh North Stars vs Watertown Red & Black October 9th 2010

It was 20 years in the making as the Plattsburgh North Stars celebrate their first-ever Empire Football League Championship with a 13-10 win over the Watertown Red & Black to avenge last year's defeat in the title game. The North Stars would take the early 3-0 lead on Mitch Ryder's 40 yard goal. The lead would hold until midway through the second quarter when the Red & Black would answer with 10 unanswered points to take the 10-3 lead into the locker room. In the third quarter, the North Stars would trim into the deficit on a Mitch Ryder field goal that squeaked over the crossbar to make it 10-6 Red & Black. The North Stars would get the game-winning score 4 minutes into the fourth quarter Touchdown reception by Trevor St. Clair. The Red & Black did have a chance to send it into overtime as they pushed a 30-yard field goal attempt wide with 17 seconds remaining and with the celebration was on. Gallery

The Plattsburgh North Stars would waste very little time in taking care of the Amsterdam Zephyrs in the Empire Football League Semi-Finals. The North Stars would go for the 31-0 victory. In the winning effort, Kenny Stay would throw for three touchdown passes and they would get another on the ground. With the convincing victory the North Stars would step up a rematch of last year's Empire Football League Championship with the Watertown Red & Black expect this time it will be in Plattsburgh as they look to avenge last year's 6-0 defeat. There were many great sides by side races during the day. The crowd-pleasers were always when the Arctic Cat line up against the Ski-Doo.The local area snow sled clubs from Ellenburg, Plattsburgh, Peru, and Saranac held there 4th annual sled drags for the third year at the Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. There were around 35 competitors in the 16 different classes that competed to benefit the different clubs. Everyone was very pleased with the turnout and are looking forward to next year's races. The local area snow sled clubs from Ellenburg, Plattsburgh, Peru, and Saranac held there 4th annual sled drags for the third year at the Airborne Speedway in Plattsburgh, NY. There were around 35 competitors in the 16 different classes that competed to benefit the different clubs. Everyone was very pleased with the turnout and is looking forward to next year's races. Plattsburgh North Stars vs Vermont Ice Storm September 11th 2010

Plattsburgh North Stars Earl Parks (#33) with the leg wrap tackles behind the line to stop Vermont Ice Storm's (#3) before he started. The Plattsburgh North Stars would use late 4th quarter heroic's to get the 21-20 win over the Vermont Ice Storm in clinching there first regular-season title in franchise history. The North Stars would jump to an early 7-0 lead on Trevor St. Clair. Then the Ice Storm would respond with touchdowns of their own to take the 14-7 lead. Then late in the third quarter, Kenny Stay would hit Trevor St. Clair again for his second touchdown on the night to tie the game at 14. Then late in the 4th quarter, the Ice Storm would get go-ahead touchdown although the North Stars would block the extra point to keep the lead at 20-14. The on issuing drive Kenny Stay would hit Jordan Keleher for a 33-yard touchdown and would make the point to give the North Stars a 21-20 victory and clinch the regular-season title and home advantage in the playoffs.
