The Saranac Chiefs scored a key victory on a senior night with a 6-2 win over Northeastern Clinton Thursday at AC North. The Chiefs extended the lead to a commanding 4-0 early in the third period with Buckley's second of the evening, before the Cougars got on the board 100 seconds later. Blake Chevalier's pass from behind the net appeared to his the back of goaltender Erick Frechette and enter the net. Two minutes later, the Chiefs regained the four-point margin, as defenseman Garrett Adolfo hit a snipe off the feed from Wilson. Despite another goal from Reid LaValley for the Cougars, a goal from Nikalas Hamel ensured the victory for the Chiefs. Frechette made 30 saves in net for Saranac, while Northeastern Clinton goaltenders Ethan Garrand and Peter Judkins combined for 27. Gallery
