The game would start off good for the home team as Clarkson's Connor McCarthy would light the lamp at the 12:08 mark of the first period for the powerplay goal. The game would stay there til over midway through the second period when the Saints Jake Stevens would tie it up on the powerplay at the 13:26 mark. Although it would short-lived for the tie as Clarkson's Harald Egle would score on the powerplay 30 seconds later to regain the one-goal lead at 2-1. In the third, the period the Golden Knights would extend there lead to 3-1 on Connor McCarthy's second powerplay goal of the night and secure the 3-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Golden Knights go to 11-3-1 on the season while Connor McCarthy would have two goals and Frank Marotte would make 24 saves on the night.
