The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #1 Norwich Cadets in the consolation game of the Primelink Great Northern Shootout in front of 1100 fans. The Cadets would get the opening goal of the game from Coby Downs at the seven-minute mark of the first period. The Cardinals would answer back on the powerplay in the fourteenth minute with the Rich McCartney goal. Although from there the Cardinals would have no answer for number one as they would get four unanswered goals from Gabriel Chicocine, Jordan Hall and two more from Coby Downs to finish off the hat trick.
