Then with 6 minutes left in the period Ian Keller would score for Cortland to cut there lead in half at 2-1. The game would stay there til nine minute mark of the second period when Cam Owens would score for the Cardinals to regain the 2 goal lead at 3-1. Then just about two minutes later the Cardinals would score again to make 4-1. That is where the game would stay til the 11 minute mark of the third period when Cole Stallard would score for the Cardinals and secure the 5-1 victory.
