The Cardinals would strike first 90 seconds into the game with Greg Malafronte for the 1-0 lead. Then at the 11 minute mark of the period the Greg Malafronte would strike again this time on the power play to make it 2-0 Cardinals lead. The Panthers would get on the board with 4 minutes left in the period to make it 2-1 Cardinals at the end of the first period. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 3-1 on Antonio Desyoners eight minutes into the period. The game would stay there til the third period when the Panthers would explode for five goals in the period and the Panthers would get the 6-3 victory.
