Then just three minutes later the Cardinals would take control of the game on the Carson Gallagher goal to make it a 4-0 Cardinals. Then on the powerplay at the 6:29 mark of the period the Cardinals would make it a 5-0 game on the Luk Jirousek goal. Then with under seven minutes left in the game the Cardinals would end their assault on the night on the Bennett Stockdale goal as it would be the sixth different scorer in the game. The Lakers would break up the shutout bid with under 4 minutes left in the game when Matt McQuade scored to make it a 6-1 game. In the winning effort, Eli Shiller would make 21 saves on 22 shots as they go to 12-4-2 on the season and will be back in action as they will play Cortland State on the hall of fame night at the Ronald Stafford Ice Arena.
