Tyler Irwin (54) and Josh Terry (43) battle for the win during the Hartson Total Opening Renegade main in the closing laps. It would be round thirteen of the season at the Airborne Speedway and it would be Bo Duke Night at the track presented by Moore Trucks. The four weekly divisions would all be in action with the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified, Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified, Hartson Total Opening Renegades, and Taylor Rentals 4 Cylinders but before the racing action got under way there would be a grudge match to settle between John Schneider "Bo Duke" and Karl Frederick with a seven lap race that would see Bo Duke take the win even with Frederick taking some shortcuts on the track and would end with Bo Duke getting chased by the local sheriff. After the excitement of Bo Duke it would be onto the racing card for the evening. First out of the box would be a heat race for the the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified with the wins going to Beau Reeves, Jonathan Toohill, and Matt Leonard. Then up would be the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified with the heat win going to Pryor Stacey. Then it would be Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with there three heat races and the wins would go to Chuck Mooney, Josh Blake and Greg Zindler. Then we would finish off the heat race portion of the night with two heats for the Hartson Total Opening Renegades and wins going to Rick Frenyea and Josh Terry. Then it would be on to the mains of the night and it would start with the Northern Blacktopping Limited Sportsman Modified and would see Pryor Stacey get another run away inside the division as the 15 lap race would go green to checker caution free. Then up would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified with three 25 lap race and would see Jonathan Toohill start on the front row and take the lead for most of the night as he would be going for his career win inside of the division. Although with five laps to go he would see his lead go away as Matt Leonard would sneak under for take the win for his second win on the season Toohill would hold on for second as Chris Cayea would round out the top three on the night. Then next up would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders for there 15 lap main and would see Chuck Mooney get the early lead from the pole. Although the lead would short lived as Josh Blake would get around him for the early race lead. He would keep the lead until there was a late race restart and it would see Kenny Tourville get around him for his first win of the season. Then it would be the final race of the night with the Hartson Total Opening Renegades in a 25 lap race and would see a great duel between Josh Terry and Tyler Irwin as they were the class of the field and it would see Tyler Irwin getting to the finish line first for his first win of the season. The Airborne Speedway will be taking next week off as the county fair is in town but will be back on August 6th in a big way as it would be the big block/small block Modified Challenge. Gallery
