It would be a pack of Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders going for the early race lead in the main event with Nate Smart (13) Caleb Tourville (42), Greg Zindler (46), Josh Laporte (45b), and Kenny Tourville (42x) all going after the lead. It would be the 12th race of the season at the Airborne Speedway as it would be Make A Wish Presented by Liquor and Wine Warehouse and the drivers and fans would raise thousands of dollars for the local make a wish. Once the racing would get underway the Hartson Total Opening Renegades would start with their first two heats and the wins would go to Richie Turner and Tylor Terry. Then next would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their three heats and getting the wins would be Roger Leberche, Chris Cayea, and Mike Wright. Then to finish off the heats on the night would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders with their three heats and the winners would be Jason Bradley, Nathan Smart, and Josh LaPorte. The track would have a brief intermission before the mains so that they would work on the track along with having the drivers go into the stands and pass the helmet for donations to the local make a wish foundation. Once the racing goes back on track the first main on tap for the night would be the Hartson Total Opening Renegades for their 25 lappers. It would see a great battle up front between Jim McKerrien and Richie Turner over the last ten laps of the race and when the checkers feel Richie Turner would have his second straight win over Jim McKerrien and Billy Thwaits would round out the top three. Then it would be the J+S Steel Sportsman Modified for their 25-lap event. Michael Wright would get off to the early race lead over Roger Leberche. Although he would be challenged early by Chris Cayea who would come up from his 6th place start and they would swap the lead a few times. Although another racer would throw his name in the mix and that would be Joey Scarbrough as he would come up from the 9th place and take the lead and hold on for his first win of the season. Then it would be the last race of the night and it would be the Taylor Rental 4 Cylinders in their 15-lap affair. It would see Jason Bradley get off to an early race lead. However, there would be midrace caution that would tighten the field back up and put race favorites Jake Fountain and Nathan Smart on his back bumper. Once the race resumed there would be a three-way battle for a few laps and then Nick Harnden would stick his way in there and make 4 cars. They would do away Bradley and it would leave it to Fountain Smart and Harden to go for the win and it would see Fountain edge out Smart for the win at the line. Although Jake Fountain and Nate Smart would both fail the post-race inspection and Nick Harden would end up getting the win. Join us again next week at the Airborne Speedway for another weekly night of the race and special guest John Scheinder "Bo Duke" from the Dukes of Hazzard will attend a match race with Karl Fredericks.
