In the second quarter, the Cardinals would break the game open on the strength of a 4-0 quarter on goals from Caroline Noia, Emma McLaughlin, Davina Gyedu (second), Caitlin Nash for the 9-3 lead at the break. When the teams came back for the third quarter the defenses would be on display as they would tie the quarter 2-2 with the Cardinal goals from Caroline Noia (second) and Jordan Kowalski but they would take the 11-5 lead into the fourth. In the fourth quarter, the Cardinals would win the quarter for a 14-7 win on goals from Lindsay Guzzetta (second), Emma McLaughlin (second), and Caroline Noia (third).
