Although the Cardinals would regain the three-goal lead at the 13:41 mark Carson Gallagher would get in on the action to make it a 4-1 game. That is where the game would stay till the 5:36 mark of the second period when Connor Galloway would score for the Eagles to get them back within 2 goals at 4-2. That is where the game would stay all the way till the last 90 seconds of the game when Ryan Romeo would get second of the game to make it a 4-3 game down the stretch. Although the Cardinals would off the Eagles late surge for the 4-3 win. In the winning effort, the Cardinals go to 11-7-3 as Jacob Hearne would have 18 saves on the night to get his first career NCAA to win.
