Ogdensburg's Andrew Loffler (30) tippy toes down the sidelines as Saranac Lake's Raymond Santiago (21) holds onto the back of the jersey. It would be the opening round of the NYSPHSAA Class C Tournament between the Saranac Lake Red Storm and the Ogdensburg Blue Devils at Plattsburgh High School. The Red Storm would come out and get the opening score of the game at the 4:01 mark of the first quarter on a 2 yard run from Conor Hewitt. Although the Blue Devils would have answered at the 7:01 mark on a one-yard run by Tristan Lovely to tie the game at seven. Saranac Lake would fight back and take the lead back on a second Conor Hewitt touchdown from 19 yards to make it 14-8 at the 3:33 mark of the second quarter. Then at the midway mark of the second quarter, the Blue Devils would strike back on a ten-yard pass to Justice McIntrye to tie the game at 14 as they would head into the half. The game would stay there till the last minute of the third quarter when the Blue Devils would score on a 16 yard run by Andrew Loffler and the two-point conversion to make it 22-14 Blue Devils. Then in the final two minutes of the game, the Blue Devils would put the game out of reach on a 61 yard run by Drew Costello and secure the 28-14 win, and advance to the quarterfinals weekend.
