Super Dirtcar Series Malta Massive - Albany Saratoga Speedway - September 21st 2019

battle up front

Dave Richner (318) on the high side looking for away around Derrick McGrew as they battle for the win. It would be the third day of a three day weekend of racing at Albany Saratoga Speedway for the Malta Massive Weekend. On tap for the last day of racing would be the Super Dirtcar Series, Dirtcar Pro Stock Series and the Limited Sportsman Modified and there would be around 100 cars in the pits for the night. As for the mains on the night first up would be the Limited Sportsman Modified and a driver would come out of hiatus Derrick McGrew would be leading most of the main event until he had car trouble and it shut off down the back stretch and Dave Richner would inherit the lead and cruise to victory. Next up would be the Super Dirtcar Series and there 100 lap event on a very fast track. It would be a very clean race out there with the high speed track as there would only be two cautions on the night. Demetrios Drellos would start out and would say see ya later to the field. That is not to take away from the raceas there was many battles around the track on the multi groove track. In doing so Drellos would get his first ever Super Dirtcar Series victory and the start in the Billy Whittaker 200 at Oswego rounding out the top three would be a great battle between Billy Decker and Mat Williamson. Next up for the Super Dirtcar Series will be Dirt Week at Oswego where Matt Sheppard will have 90 point lead. The last race on the night would be the Dirtcar Pro Stock Series and it would be a battle between the Canadian invades and the Americans as 32 cars would take the green for the 35 lap main event. When the dust would settle Luke Horning would get the win after charging from eight starting spot but that would not be without challenge from Jay Corbin and Josh Coonradt. Gallery
