Plattsburgh State's Will Hockenjos (10) splits through of Cortland State's defenders. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host fellow SUNYAC team and number 1 team in the country Cortland State Red Dragons in conference action. The Red Dragons would jump out to the quick 5-1 lead after the first quarter with the lone Cardinals goal from Joey Kramer. In the second quarter the Cardinals would do there best to get back in it and tie the Red Dragons at 8 at the break. Scoring for the Cardinals in the second quarter would be Joey Kramer (twice), Tom Duggan, Tim Lawerence (twice), Nick Travers and Brett McClelland. The game would remain tied at 10 as the teams went into the fourth scoring for the Cardinals were Tom Duggan and Tim Lawerence. In the fourth quarter the Red Dragons would prove to be to much as theu would outscore the Cardinals 5-2 and get the 15-12 win.
