The Bulldogs would make quick work of the Panthers winning the match in about 45 minutes in straight sets by scores of 25-7 25-4 and 25-12. Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins would score midway thru the second half to defeat Keene Beavers 1-0 in nail biting Section VII Class D Semi-Finals. The Grifins now advance to the Finals taking on the winner of the Minerva-Newcomb/Chazy game at PHS. In the second half, Trevor Brooks(24) - E-Town/Westport - would score the loan goal of the game at 60:11 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) as the Griffins would win 1-0. The Griffins had 13 shots, 7 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls, 0 offsides. The Beavers had 3 shots, 13 saves, 2 corner kicks, 9 fouls, 1 offsides and 1 yellow card for delay of game (60:43).

The American Legion/SL Trucking would meet up with the Northeast Monsters in week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League. It would be a defensive battle in the first half and the American Legion would take the slim 6-0 lead at the break. In the second half, both teams offenses would walk up and American Legion would win the half 13-6 and secure the 19-6 victory. Maliankias Masonry would meet up with the West Side Saints. Masonry defense would be tops again this week and have a 14-0 lead at the half with the defense giving them short fields. In the second half, it would be more of the same and they would win the half 14-0 and secure the 28-0 win. In the winning effort, Maliankias Masonry would go to 6-1 on the season while the West Side Saints would fall to 1-6. Gallery

Saranac's Mason Martin (42) extends the ball out and over the line for the touchdown. The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two-point conversion and take an 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriot's good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one-yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. In the winning effort, the Patriots advance to next week's championship game against Saranac Lake Chiefs while the Saranac Chiefs season comes to end at 2-6. Gallery

The Saranac Chiefs (JV) would host the Ausable Valley Patriots (JV) in the last JV game of the season. The Patriots would take the 6-0 lead after the first quarter and hold on till late in the second quarter when the Chiefs would get on the board with a Johnny Devins touchdown to tie it at 6 at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second the Patriots would come to play and score three scores to make it 28-6. In the fourth quarter, the teams would trade sores including the big catch in the endzone by Saranac's Brandon Velie for the score as he rips it from the defender's hand. In the end, though the Patriots would get the 34-12 victory and finish the undefeated season at 8-0 while the Chiefs finish at 0-8. Gallery.

Crown Point Lady Panthers would score in the final few minutes of the game to defeat Westport Lady Eagles 1-0 in nail biting Section VII Class D Quarterfinals. The Lady Panthers now advance to the Semifinals taking on the winner of the Willsboro/Chazy game. In the second half, Kayli Stone(1) - Crown Point - would score the lone goal of the game at 78:50 assisted by Hannah Palmer(13) as the Lady Panthers would win 1-0. The Lady Panthers had 16 shots, 7 saves, 9 corner kicks, 3 fouls, and 0 offsides. The Lady Eagles had 9 shots, 3 saves, 7 corner kicks, 3 fouls, and 2 offsides.

The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are crowned the 2014 Section X East Division Champions. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the Massena Red Raiders in Section X East Division with the two top teams in the league. The Bulldogs would get the straight-sets victory in about an hour. They would win the three games by scores of 25-22, 25-17, and 25-20. In the winning effort, the Bulldogs would finish off the undefeated season at 16-0 and be crowned the 2014 Section X East Division champions. The Bulldogs would strike in the 12th minute on Reid Laplante's goal to make it 1-0. Then just two minutes later Reid would strike again for his second goal to make it 2-0. Then in the 37th minute Jordan Martin for the Bulldogs would make it 3-0. The in the 38th minute Zack Cowan would score for the Bulldogs to make it 4-0 as the teams went into the intermission. When the teams back for the second half it would be more of the same as Nick Ashline would make it 5-0 in the 45th minute. Then in the 46th minute Reid Laplante would finish off the hat trick to make it 6-0. Then in the 71st minute Josh Trombley would get his first career goal to secure the 7-0 win. It would be a game that would see both teams have trouble getting there offenses going. The game would eventually need overtime as they went into extra period still tied at zero. In the extra period, Tevin Conners for the West Side Saints would make in an interception in the endzone that he would return for the game-winning score to get the 6-0 victory.
