The Peru Indians team poses for there team photo as they are crowned the 2014 New York State Section 7 Class B Champions. The #1 Peru Indians would meet up with the #2 Beekmantown Eagles in New York State Section 7 Championship at Ausable Valley. The Eagles would strike first on a Justin Stevens touchdown run in the first quarter to make it 7-0. In the second quarter Eagles Matt Villa would return the interception for the score to make it 14-0. Later in the quarter, the Indians would get on the board to make it 14-7 as they head to the half. In the third quarter, the teams would trade scores with Justin Stevens run to make it 21-7 Eagles headed to the fourth quarter the Indians would score twice in the quarter including Buddy Altizer game-winner with 12 seconds to give the Indians the 28-21 victory. In the winning effort, the Peru Indians would go to 9-0 and advance to the New York State Class B Playoffs against Malone. Even though the Eagles would lose Justin Stevens would set the single-season Section 7 rushing total at 1,850 yards. Gallery.

The Saranac Lake Red Storm poses for there team photo as they as they are crowned the 2014 Section 7 Class C Champions. The #1 Saranac Lake Red Storm would meet up with the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in the Section 7 Football championships. The Red Storm would make easy work of the Patriots in the first half and take a 35-7 lead into the locker room. In the second half, the Patriots would try there best to make a game of it but the deficit would be too big to overcome they would win the half at 16-7 but would fall 42-23. With the win, the Red Storm head into the New York State Class C Playoffs against Ogdensburg while the Patriots season comes to an end at 2-7. Gallery

Chateaugay's Emily Dwyer (14) and the Edwards-Knox Cougars defender go shoulder to shoulder as they fight for the loose ball along the sidelines. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs and #9 Edwards-Knox Cougars meet up in the Section X Class D Quarterfinals at Massena High. The Bulldogs would take the quick 1-0 lead in the 2nd minute on Brianna Cook's goal. Then in the 4th minute they would extend the lead 2-0 on Danielle Charland goal to make it 2-0. The game would stay there til the 45th minute when Rachel Young would make it 3-0 Bulldogs. Then in the 46th minute, Alissa Cook would extend the lead 4-0 for the Bulldogs. Then in the 47th minute the Bulldogs would make it 5-0 on Brianna Cook's second goal. Then in the 55th minute the Bulldogs Alissa Cook would score her second goal to make it 6-0. Then in the 77th minute, the Cougars would get on the board. Although the Bulldogs would get the 6-1 victory. In the winning effort, the Bulldogs would move onto the Section X Class D Semi-Finals against the #5 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets. Gallery.

The Chateaugay Bulldogs pose for there team photo as they are named the 2014 Section X Class D Champion. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would meet up with the #2 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets in the Section X Class D Championship. The Bulldogs would make quick work in getting the straight-set victory in about 45 minutes. The scores of the three games would be 25-6 25-8 25-12. With the win, the Bulldogs win another Section X Class D Championship and go to 18-0 on the season. Next up will be the Section X Overall championship on November 3rd and they will get the Malone Huskies in the semi-finals. Gallery.

Chateaugay's Savannah Fiorino (33) with the tip right at the net for the point. The #1 Chateaugay Bulldogs would host the #4 Brushton-Moira Panthers in the Section X Class D Semi-finals. The Bulldogs would make quick work of the Panthers winning the match in about 45 minutes in straight sets by scores of 25-7 25-4 and 25-12. With the win, the Bulldogs go to 17-0 on the season and will play #2 Madrid-Waddington Yellow Jackets for the Sectional championship. Gallery.

Boys Soccer - Keene Beavers vs E-Town - Westport Griffins 10-27-2014 - Highlights

Elizabethtown/Westport Griffins would score midway thru the second half to defeat Keene Beavers 1-0 in nail biting Section VII Class D Semi-Finals. The Grifins now advance to the Finals taking on the winner of the Minerva-Newcomb/Chazy game at PHS. In the second half, Trevor Brooks(24) - E-Town/Westport - would score the loan goal of the game at 60:11 assisted by Isaiah Turner(3) as the Griffins would win 1-0. The Griffins had 13 shots, 7 saves, 5 corner kicks, 5 fouls, 0 offsides. The Beavers had 3 shots, 13 saves, 2 corner kicks, 9 fouls, 1 offsides and 1 yellow card for delay of game (60:43).

American Legion's Mark Golden with the leaping catch across the middle for the first down. The American Legion/SL Trucking would meet up with the Northeast Monsters in week 6 of the North Country Flag Football League. It would be a defensive battle in the first half and the American Legion would take the slim 6-0 lead at the break. In the second half, both teams offenses would walk up and American Legion would win the half 13-6 and secure the 19-6 victory. In the winning effort, American Legion/SL Trucking would go to 6-1 while the Northeast Monsters would fall to 0-7. Gallery

Maliankias Masonry would meet up with the West Side Saints. Masonry defense would be tops again this week and have a 14-0 lead at the half with the defense giving them short fields. In the second half, it would be more of the same and they would win the half 14-0 and secure the 28-0 win. In the winning effort, Maliankias Masonry would go to 6-1 on the season while the West Side Saints would fall to 1-6. Gallery

#2 Saranac Chiefs Vs #3 Ausable Valley Patriots October 25 2014

Saranac's Mason Martin (42) extends the ball out and over the line for the touchdown. The #2 Saranac Chiefs would host the #3 Ausable Valley Patriots in Champlain Valley Atheltic Conference Class C Semi-finals. These two evenly matched teams would be scoreless until the second quarter when Patriots Jimmy Kelly would score to make it 7-0 Patriots. The game would stay there until 7 minutes left in the 4th quarter when Chiefs Mason Martin would score and they would get the two-point conversion and take an 8-7 lead. Then on the ensuing Patriots drive two questionable calls would lead to the Patriot's good field position and Jimmy Kelly would score from the one-yard line with 25 seconds left on the clock to give the Patriots 14-8 victory. In the winning effort, the Patriots advance to next week's championship game against Saranac Lake Chiefs while the Saranac Chiefs season comes to end at 2-6. Gallery

Saranac Chiefs Vs Ausable Valley Patriots JV Game October 25 2014

Saranac's Brandon Velie (3) with the reception in the endzone for the score as he rips the ball out of the defender's hands and holds on for all he's got. The Saranac Chiefs (JV) would host the Ausable Valley Patriots (JV) in the last JV game of the season. The Patriots would take the 6-0 lead after the first quarter and hold on till late in the second quarter when the Chiefs would get on the board with a Johnny Devins touchdown to tie it at 6 at halftime. When the teams would come back for the second the Patriots would come to play and score three scores to make it 28-6. In the fourth quarter, the teams would trade sores including the big catch in the endzone by Saranac's Brandon Velie for the score as he rips it from the defender's hand. In the end, though the Patriots would get the 34-12 victory and finish the undefeated season at 8-0 while the Chiefs finish at 0-8. Gallery.
