Malone's Trevor Cooley (12) comes in the break and fires it over Salmon River's Adian Comins (55) for the goal. The Malone Huskies would host the Salmon River Shamrock in the rivalry game of section X at the Malone Civic Center. The Shamrocks would break the ice and get the opening goal from Tye Terrance at 2:12 mark for the early lead. The Huskies would answer back at the 6:03 mark of first to tie the game at one Trevor Cooley's goal. That is where the game would stay all the way until 4:40 mark of the third when the Shamrocks would take the 2-1 lead on Sean David's goal. The Shamrocks would extend the lead to 3-1 on Sean David's second goal of the night. Then to finish it off for good measure Salmon River's Chad George would score with under three minutes left to secure the 4-1 win. In the losing effort Huskies, Joey Brown would make 30 saves as the Huskies fall to 3-5-1 on the season. Gallery

Chateaugay's Emily Dwyer (15) and Beekmantown's Oliva Trudeau (25) battle for the loose ball along the baseline. The Chateaugay Bulldogs would travel to the Beekmantown and taken on the Eagles in a non-league JV game. It would be a game that very physical underneath points would come at a premium as the Eagles would hold the slight 11-9 lead at the end of the first quarter. In the second quarter, the Bulldogs would outscore the Eagles 12-10 to tie the game 21-21 at the half. The third quarter would be the deciding quarter of the game as the Eagles would win the quarter 21-8 and take a 42-29 lead. In the fourth quarter, the Bulldogs just had no answer as they would lose the game 51-38. In the losing effort, Danielle and Alicia Cook would lead the way with 11 points as the Bulldogs suffer there first loss of the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Shannon Stewart with the shot on the doorstep looking for her second goal. It would be a battle of top three times in the country as the #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #3 Norwich at the Ronald B Stafford Ice Arena. It wouldn't take the Cardinals long to get in the scoring action as Giovanna Sense would score at the 3:10 mark of the first period for the 1-0 Cardinals lead. The Cardinals would double the lead to 2-0 at the 7:45 mark on Shannon Stewart's goal. Then at 12:48 mark of the first period, the Cardinals would end the first period scoring with Ali Vako's goal to make it 3-0 Cardinals. That is where the game would remain until the third period when Jordan Caldwel would score at the 12:40 mark for the 4-0 Cardinals lead. Then just 44 seconds later the Cardinals would score again to make it 5-0 on Giovanna Sense's second goal of the night. Then just to finish off the Cardinals would get one more in the closing seconds from Caitlin Gilligan to secure the 6-0 win. Plattsburgh State's Mark Constantine (24) with the contested backhander in front of the net. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hobart Statesmen in the finals of the Buck's Supply Winter Classic. The Statesmen would get the opening goal of the game at the 7:58 mark of the first on Mitch Beyer's goal for the 1-0 Statesmen lead. Then just 19 seconds later the Statesmen would extend the lead to 2-0 on Bo Webster's goal. The score would stay there all the way to the third period when the Statesmen would get an empty netter from Mac Olson at 17:34 of the third period. Inside the last minute of the game, Rich Botting would score for the Cardinals to avoid the shutout as the Cardinals fall 3-1. In the losing effort, Mathieu Cadieux would have 25 saves as the Cardinals 12 game unbeaten streak is snapped and they fall to 10-1-2 on the season. Gallery

Plattsburgh State's Mark Constantine (24) with the crushing open-ice hit on Hamilton's Robbie Gardiner (18) just inside the blue line. The #1 Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the Hamilton Continentals in the Buck's Supply Winter Classic Semi-Finals. It would take just half of the first period for the Cardinals' to get on the broad when Alex Brenton would get the goal at 10:52 of the first period for the 1-0 lead. Hamilton's Michael Dimare would tie the game up 27 seconds left in the first period at 1-1. Hamilton would take the 2-1 lead on the power-play goal by Pat Curtis at 1:52 of the second period. The Cardinals would tie the game up at 2 at 7:24 on Kyle Hall's breakaway goal. Then at 10:43 of the second, the Cardinals would take the 3-2 lead thanks to Alex Brenton's second goal of the night. The Cardinals would extend the lead to 4-2 on Dillan Fox's goal at 7:49 of the third period. Then to finish off the game Alex Brenton would score on the empty net to finish off the hat trick and the 5-2 win. Beekmantown's Greg Manney (32) with the fadeaway jumper in the corner. It would be the first game of the 2013 edition of the Section 7/10 Challenge with the Beekmantown Eagles and the Brushton-Moria Panthers facing off at Plattsburgh. It would be a tight game for most of other than a run that the Eagles went on in the second half extending it to a 17 point lead. The Panthers would do there best to come back although it would fall short. As the Eagles would get the 56-49 victory with the win the Eagles fo to 2-4 while the Panthers fall to 3-3 on the season. Malone's Zach Raymond (20) takes flight in the lane and draws the contact from Saranac's John Mayne (22) for the basket. In the last of five games in the Challenge it would be the Malone Huskies and Saranac Chiefs from the Plattsburgh State Field House. This would be a half-court game with defenses stepping up to keep their team in the contest after the first half the Huskies would have 24-19 lead on the Chiefs. In the second half the offenses would find some more space and the Huskies would win the half 33-24 to secure the 57-43 win. With the win Huskies go to 7-1 while the Chiefs fall to 3-4 on the season. Saranac's Jacob Lillendahl (9) comes in on a breakaway and fires it over the shoulder of Tupper Lake's Tyler Nilsson for the goal. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Tupper Lake Lumberjacks in a nonleague match at the Plattsburgh State Field House. The Chiefs would take the 1-0 at the 4:45 mark of the first Kevin Fisher's goal. Then with just over a minute left in the first the Chiefs would extend the lead to 2-0 Jacob Lillendahl's goal. Then in the first minute of the second period the Lumberjacks would get on the board on Elliott Fletcher's goal to make it 2-1. That is where the game would stay til the 12:45 mark when Tupper Lake would tie it up on the power-play goal by Chase Bedore. Then just 20 seconds later the Chiefs would take the 3-2 lead with Kevin Fisher's second goal of the night. Then at the 6:06 mark of the third the Chiefs would make it 4-2 on Tristan Archambault's goal. Just over two minutes later the Lumberjacks would get back within one at 4-3 Elliott Fletcher's second goal. Then in the last minute of the game the Chiefs would put the game out of reach on Kevin Fisher's third of the night. With the win the Chiefs go to 1-3-1 while the Lumberjacks fall to 0-6-1 on the season. Gallery

Beekmantown's Nathan Foster (55) came in on the breakaway and flips it over the goaltender for one of his three goals on the night. The Saranac Chiefs would host the Beekmantown Eagles at the Plattsburgh State Field House in a Champlain Valley Athletic Conference match-up. The Eagles would take the early 1-0 lead on Ryan Waterbury's goal at the 5:01 mark. Then with under two minutes left in the period the Eagles would extend it to 2-0 Kyle Bisonette's goal. Then inside the final minute the Eagles would score again with Nathan Foster on the shorthand for the 3-0 lead after one. Then early on in the second period Nathan Foster would get his second goal of the night for the 4-0 lead. Then at the 13:33 mark of the second period the Eagles would take a 5-0 lead on Kyle Bissonette's goal. Then just 1:33 into the third period Nathan Foster would finish off the hat trick for the 6-0 lead. Then at 2:54 of the third period the Eagles would finish off the scoring assault to make it 7-0 on Kyle Bisonette's third of the night. The Chiefs would get a late goal in the third period on a scramble play in front as the Eagles get the 7-1 win. With the win the Eagles go to 3-0 while the Chiefs fall to 0-3-1 on the season. Northeastern Clinton's Nick Ledue (16) swipes the puck and heads down the breakaway for one of his four goals on the night. The Northeastern Clinton Cougars would travel over to Plattsburgh to take on the Hornets in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference on how action. The game would be an offensive show of force. The Cougars would get the first goal from Nick Ladue at the four-minute mark of the first. Then at 10:53 mark of the first the Cougars would extend the lead to 2-0 on Colby Boire's goal. Then in the final two minutes of the period the Cougars would make it 3-0 Nick Ladue's second goal of the night. The second period would be a carryover of the first when Mason Letourneau would score to make it 4-0. Finally at the 6:12 mark the Hornets would get on board thanks to Eric Bechard to make it 4-1. Then at the 10:03 mark John Fine Lease would score to make it 4-2 and now we have a game. Just over two minutes later it would be a one-goal game with Eric Bechard's second of the night. Then with 15 seconds left in the period the Hornets would tie it up at 4 on Jack Tolosky's goal. The Cougars would retake the lead at 5-4 on Andrew Arless's goal. Then just twenty seconds later Nick Ladue would add his third goal of the game to make it 6-4. Then in the closing minutes Ladue would add a fourth goal on the empty netter to secure the 7-4 win. With the win the Cougars go to 2-1-1 while the Hornets fall to 2-2 on the season. Gallery
