Nick Heywood (29) slices the middle of Michael Picton (49) and Mike Palmer (85p) as he charges from the back to the front for a top 5 finish. It would be the Fourth of July Celebration plus Can-Am Mod Lites Series presented by Champlain Peterbilt. It would be a very interesting evening of racing as the combination of the heat and full moon would have drivers on edge. As there were multiple crashes on the night with a couple of drivers ending up on their lid and some damaged race cars. When the carnage settled the winners on the night would be Chris Raabe 358 Modifieds, Jamie LaFountain Sportsman Modified, Super Stock Jim McKerrain, Mini-Modifieds Cam Guade, and Strictly Stock Caleb Tourville. Airborne will be right back in action on Tuesday, July 3rd for the Dirtcar Sportsman Modified Northeast division.

It would be the 358 Trophy Dash Presented by Plattsburgh Ford. It would be a good night of racing at the track after the top groove came in and very competitive racing. As for the winners, Chris Raabe wins the 358 Modified with the Dash going to Travis Bruno, Sportsman Modified Nick Heywood, Super Stock Tylor Terry (third in a row), Mini-Modifieds Cam Gaude, Strictly Stock Shawn Walker (Four in a row). Next week at Airborne Park Speedway will be the midseason championships.

Zack Daniels (30) collides with the Ricky Thompson (1) as they battle for position, in turn, three of the Sportsman Modified Feature. It would be three race of season at Airborne Park Speedway and it would be volunteer Fire and EMS night Presented by Haun Welding. The feature event of the evening would be a 50 lap sportsman modified race part of the Unquie E-Cigs Series. The winning of that race would be Bucko Branham as part of a great battle upfront. As for the other races on tap Stephen Beriner, Super Stock Tylor Terry, Mini-Modifieds Josh LaPorte, and Strictly Stock would go to Shawn Walker. Next week would be week four of the season and will feature a regular show along with the Empire Super Sprints and Quebec Lightning cars.

Ryan Mclean (14) mikes contact with the Jimmy Cottrell (8) through turn 3 and 4 and cases a 4 car pile up also taking out Greg Atkins and George Foley. It would be the second week of racing at Airborne Park Speedway and it would be Autograph Night Presented by A-Verdi Storage Containers. There would be some wheel to wheel racing and for the most part be a clean night with only a few wrecks on the night. As for the racing there would be 62 cars on the night for the five divisions. The winners on the night would be Stephen Bernier in the 356 Modifieds, Nick Heywood in the Sportsman Modified, Shawn Duquette Super Stock, Zach Woods in the Mini-Modified and Shawn Walker in the strictly Stock.

Gouverneur Spring Derby - St. Lawrence Fairgrounds - May 6th 2018

Al Dean (8) with the crunching hit on 66 truck and folds the whole bed right up. It would be the annual spring demolition derby at the St Lawrence County Fairgrounds in Gouverneur. There would be around 40 cars for the afternoon of smashing and crunching. When it was all said and done the winner would be Chris Ames and he would take home a $750 check for the win and a spot in the feature at the derby during the fair in August. Gallery

65th Season Opener Presented by Day Brothers Boats and Law Enforcement Night - Airborne Park Speedway - May 5th 2018

Justin Severance (4) would put the car on the side but it stays on all four wheels during a wild wreck in turn three and four other drivers involved in the crash were Zack Daniels (30), Thomas Cook (35), and Mike Palmer (85p). It would an opening night of the season at Airborne Park Speedway Presented by Day Brothers Boats along with Law Enforcement Night. It noticed early in the night that the drivers were eager to get the season started and get that first race win of the season. As there would be many cautions throughout the night along with a couple of red flags. There would be a total of 82 cars on the grounds split up over the five divisions with the most being in the Sportsman Modified division with 37 cars on grounds. As the racing action, it would start with Shawn Walker winning the Strictly Stock, then Brent Jarvis winning the Super Stock, then Bucko Branham in the Sportsman Modified, Chris Raabe 358 Modified and end with Zack Woods winning the Mini-Modified division. The action will be back next weekend (May 12th) with Autograph night presented by A-Verdi Storage Containers.

Plattsburgh State Cardinals Vs Canton Kangaroos - May 3rd 2018

Plattsburgh State's Stephen Bryant (3) corrals the grounder on the hop to short and fires across for the out. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would end the home portion of there season with a doubleheader against the Canton Kangaroos. The first game of the doubleheader would be a nailbiter although the Cardinals would get the 7-6 victory. In the nightcap of the doubleheader, it would be a pitchers duels and few costly errors would seal the Kangaroos faith as the Cardinals would get the 3-1 victory. With the sweep on the day, the Cardinals would improve there record to 12-24 on the season. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Anthony Maag (18) with the tag on the St. Michael's baserunner attempting to score. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would take on the St. Michaels Purple Knights in nonconference doubleheader attention. The Cardinals would break out of there slump and the offense would come alive. As the Cardinals would get a sweep on the day as they win the games 12-3 and 8-5. The Cardinals return to play Friday as they travel to Fredonia for three games as part of weekend series to close out SUNYAC play. Gallery.

Plattsburgh State's Noah Clark (22) with the tag on the Oswego State baserunner on the grounder down the first baseline. The Plattsburgh State Cardinals would host the #21 Oswego State Lakers in there final SUNYAC home game of the season. The Cardinals would do there best to keep the game close expect for a 5 run second and a 4 run eight. With that being said the Cardinals would fall to the Lakers by a score of 11-2. With the loss, the Cardinals fall to 8-21 on the season. The Cardinals will take back to the field April 24th with a doubleheader against St. Michael's Gallery.
